On Thursday, December 3, HBO Max is spreading holiday cheer with the debut of Carrie’s new music special “My Gift: A Christmas Special From Carrie Underwood.” In the Max Original, Carrie performs a combination of beloved traditional favorites celebrating the joy and hopefulness of the holiday, as well as new original material from her first-ever full-length Christmas album My Gift. On the special, she is accompanied by her band, as well as a live orchestra and choir, conducted by Carrie’s longtime friend, Emmy® Award-winning musical director Rickey Minor.
The special features many heartfelt moments and performances, including a duet with John Legend, singing “Hallelujah,” an original song he co-wrote with Toby Gad, which appears on My Gift. Viewers will also get an inside look behind the scenes of Underwood recording “Little Drummer Boy” with her five-year-old son Isaiah.

Empire State Realty Trust, Inc. and iHeartMedia today announced that the annual Empire State Building (ESB) holiday music-to-light show will feature Carrie’s new song “Hallelujah” with John Legend, from her first-ever Christmas album My Gift.
World-renowned lighting designer Marc Brickman choreographed the festive light show, which premieres on Saturday, December 19 and will be synced live each night at 8:00 p.m. through Friday, December 25 to a broadcast of the song on iHeartRadio’s Z100 and LiteFM. To celebrate its annual switch to festive music of the Christmas season across its stations nationwide, iHeartMedia today announced the new iHeartRadio Holiday Special, a virtual concert hosted by Mario Lopez. This 30-minute special event will feature Carrie Underwood performing songs from her first-ever Christmas album, My Gift, and will broadcast across iHeartMedia’s AC, HOT AC and Classic Hits stations nationwide and on the iHeartRadio app, and video stream iHeartRadio’s YouTube and Facebook pages on November 25 at 7pm local time. Carrie’s first-ever Christmas album, My Gift, debuts #1 on the Billboard Country, Christian and Holiday charts this week. My Gift marks the eighth straight album Carrie has debuted #1 on the Billboard Country chart. My Gift also debuted #1 on the UK country chart (her fifth #1 on the chart) and #1 on the Canadian country chart.
My Gift features a combination of beloved traditional favorites celebrating the spiritual nature of the holiday, as well as several new originals. Two of the original songs are written by Carrie, frequent collaborator Brett James, and her Cry Pretty co-producer, David Garcia.
