Carrie Underwood announces her first-ever residency, REFLECTION: The Las Vegas Residency, at The Theatre at Resorts World Las Vegas, which will begin December 1.  Carrie joins global music stars Celine Dion, Katy Perry and Luke Bryan as the founding headliners at the Strip’s highly anticipated new 3,500-room luxury destination opening June 24, who will also call The Theatre at Resorts World Las Vegas their performing home. The 5,000-capacity, world-class theatre will open its doors in November 2021 and is exclusively programmed and operated by Concerts West / AEG Presents.

The star-studded performances will begin with Celine Dion’s return to Las Vegas with a brand-new show and a special opening night performance to benefit COVID-19 Relief on Friday, Nov. 5.  Following Dion, Carrie’s first six shows are scheduled for December 1, 3, 4, 8, 10 and 11.  Perry will take the stage on Wednesday, Dec. 29, and Bryan kicks off his six-show engagement beginning on Friday, Feb. 11.   

Of her first residency, Carrie says, “Touring is one of my favorite things I get to do as a performer and we’ve all really been missing that.  I love being on the road and coming to the fans where they live but it will also be fun to get to do multiple shows in one place where people will be able to come to get that concert experience and have some fun in Las Vegas at the same time.  It’s such a special honor to be one of the first artists to get to perform in a brand new, beautiful, state-of-the-art theatre at such an exciting new destination as Resorts World Las Vegas.”

Carrie also revealed exclusive new artwork and inspiration for REFLECTION: The Las Vegas Residency.   “The show title refers to the fact that this show will reflect the amazing journey I’ve been on for the past 16 years, as well as a glimpse into what lies ahead,” she says.  

Additionally, Carrie has arranged for a donation of $1 from each ticket sold for REFLECTION: The Las Vegas Residency to be contributed to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

This past weekend, on Easter Sunday, Carrie brought her new album, My Savior, to life with “My Savior: Live From The Ryman,” a virtual live concert performance from the iconic, Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, also known as the “Mother Church of Country Music.”  Carrie performed the gospel hymns she grew up singing for this special concert event, which streamed live globally on her official Facebook page on Sunday, April 4th, raising over $112,000 for Save the Children worldwide.  

Nearly 2.5 million fans from the United States, Canada, UK, Australia, Brazil, Ghana, Norway, Germany, South Africa, Mexico, Sweden and beyond, viewed the full show and millions more viewed exclusive performance clips during the 48-hour window for the free event which featured special appearances by gospel superstar CeCe Winans, who performed “Great Is Thy Faithfulness” with Carrie and singer/songwriter Bear Rinehart, frontman of the rock band, NEEDTOBREATHE, who joined her on “Nothing But The Blood Of Jesus.”  Southern gospel and harmonica legend Buddy Greene and 10-time CMA Musician of the Year Mac McAnally, both of whom played on the My Savior album, also appeared on the show.

Carrie’s new album, My Savior, debuts #1 on the Billboard Country and Christian Charts, as well as #4 on the Billboard 200 chart this week.  Additionally, the album is #1 on Billboard’s Top Albums, Top Country Albums, Top Christian Albums and is the #1 Current Digital Album.  My Savior is Carrie’s ninth consecutive album to debut at #1 on the Billboard Country Chart – extending her record as the only Country artist to achieve that feat with all nine of her studio album releases from the beginning of her career.
 
My Savior is also the #1 Country Album and #1 Christian album in Canada.  The album was #1 on the iTunes Album Sales Chart in the U.S. for all genres throughout the week of release and is currently #1.  It was also the #1 Country Album on iTunes in Canada and Australia. 
 
Seven songs from My Savior debuted on the Country Songs Track chart:  “How Great Thou Art,” “Amazing Grace,” “Just As I Am,” “Because He Lives,” “Victory In Jesus,” “The Old Rugged Cross” and “Blessed Assurance.”

The success of My Savior comes on the heels of Carrie’s first-ever Christmas album, My Gift, which debuted #1 across multiple global charts, including Billboard Country, Christian and Holiday charts.  The album remained at #1 on the Christian chart 11 weeks after it was released and debuted #1 on the UK country chart (her fifth #1 on the chart) and #1 on the Canadian country chart.  It went on to reclaim the #1 spot on the Billboard Country chart in the U.S. for a third non-consecutive week, and consistently remained in the Top 5 on the Billboard Holiday Album Chart throughout the holidays, hitting #5 on the all-genre Billboard Top 200.

The Academy of Country Music®, dick clark productions and CBS announced that Carrie will be part of the superstar performance lineup for the 56^TH ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS™, airing live on Sunday, April 18 (8:00-11:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network and will be available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+.

Carrie will make her debut on the Latin American Music Awards with Spanish superstar David Bisbal, to perform their bilingual duet “Tears of Gold,” for the first time on television. The two are also nominated for the award for Favorite Video for “Tears of Gold.” The 2021 Latin AMAs will broadcast simultaneously on Spanish entertainment cable network Universo, and throughout the Americas on Telemundo Internacional on Thursday, April 15 starting at 7pm/6c.
