Country Music Hall Of Fame® & Museum Honors Carrie!

COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME® AND MUSEUM HONORS SUPERSTARS BRAD PAISLEY AND CARRIE UNDERWOOD WITH SPOTLIGHT EXHIBIT

Hosts with the Most: Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood to Open January 18, 2011

Hosts with the Most: Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, a spotlight exhibit featuring stage costumes worn by Paisley and Underwood when they hosted the 2010 Country Music Association Awards last November, will open January 18, 2011, at the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum.

The exhibit will feature a black ensemble worn by Paisley, including a John Richmond jacket with gold-beaded lapels; and a pleated tulle ballerina dress, embellished with 15,000 rhinestones, worn by Underwood. The gown was designed by Georges Chakra, who used a traditional Turkish embroidery technique called sarma that was highly prized in the court of the Ottoman Empire.

The November 10, 2010, telecast marked the third consecutive year that Paisley and Underwood co-hosted the CMA Awards. Paisley was named CMA’s Entertainer of the Year that night.

Hosts with the Most: Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, which is included with regular Museum admission, will remain open through June 30, 2011.

93.7 JRfm Vancouver And Carrie Underwood Face Off For A Good Cause

New Country 93.7 JRfm (CJJR-FM) and Carrie are having a friendly bet to support two great causes. The JRfm Waking Crew was joined by Carrie this morning to discuss the Vancouver Canucks / Nashville Predators hockey series, with each supporting their favourite team and charity.

The JRfm Waking Crew, Clay St.Thomas and Karen Daniels, are confident that the Canucks will win and move on to Round 3 of the playoffs. But Carrie feels her husband, Mike Fisher, and his Nashville teammates will pull through. So they’ve made a bet! If the Canucks win then Carrie will donate a signed guitar to the JRfm Basics for Babies® campaign. But if Nashville wins then the JRfm Waking Crew will donate $937 to Carrie’s favourite charity.

Basics for Babies® assists families with kids two years and under through the Lower Mainland Food Banks with diapers, baby food and formula. Since its inception in 1994, Basics for Babies® has raised over $1.69 million and hundreds of thousands of pounds of baby items.
