It was a weekend for football and music, as Steven Tyler and Carrie Underwood scored the highest-rated episode of CMT CROSSROADS in seven years. More than 3.1 million total viewers* tuned in to CMT for weekend airings of CMT CROSSROADS: STEVEN TYLER & CARRIE UNDERWOOD FROM THE PEPSI SUPER BOWL FAN JAM, which premiered Saturday, February 4 from Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis. The premiere garnered 1.9 million total viewers, marking the highest-rated CMT CROSSROADS episode since the 2005 pairing of Lionel Richie and Kenny Rogers, according to Nielsen Media Research. Also a hit on social media, #CMTcrossroads peaked in the #3 spot on Twitter for U.S. trending topics.

CMT CROSSROADS: STEVEN TYLER & CARRIE UNDERWOOD FROM THE PEPSI SUPER BOWL FAN JAM will be retelecast on CMT Saturday, February 11 at 10:00 a.m. and again Sunday, February 12 at 10:00 a.m, ET/PT.

Tyler and Underwood took the stage for a rocking hour of hits, including “Sweet Emotion,” “Love in an Elevator,” “Before He Cheats,” “Cryin’,” a spectacular mash-up of Underwood’s “Just A Dream” and Aerosmith’s “Dream On,” a special performance of Aerosmith’s “Walk This Way” and Underwood’s smash “Undo It,” and the Steppenwolf classic “Born To Be Wild.”

CMT CROSSROADS capped off a hit-driven Saturday night lineup on the network with the breakout hits BAYOU BILLIONAIRES and MY BIG REDNECK VACATION. The series recently premiered as the network’s highest rated original series telecasts in history.

Brown has three nominations: Best R&B Album for F.A.M.E., and Best Rap Performance (with Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes) and Best Rap Song for “Look At Me Now.”

Fourteen-time GRAMMY Winner and Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Bennett has two nods: Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Body And Soul” (with Amy Winehouse), and Best Traditional Pop Album for Duets II (with Various Artists).

Five-time GRAMMY winner Underwood is nominated for Best Country Solo Performance for “Mama’s Song.”

Previously announced performers for THE 54th ANNUAL GRAMMY® AWARDS include Adele (in her first live performance since undergoing vocal cord surgery last fall), Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson, Glen Campbell with The Band Perry and Blake Shelton, Coldplay and Rihanna, Foo Fighters, Bruno Mars, Paul McCartney, Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry, Bruce Springsteen And The E Street Band, and Taylor Swift. LL COOL J has hosted THE GRAMMY NOMINATIONS CONCERT LIVE! — COUNTDOWN TO MUSIC’S BIGGEST NIGHT® since its inception in December 2008. In anticipation of what is expected to be one of this year’s hottest album releases, it was announced today that Carrie Underwood’s new CD will be released on Tuesday, May 1. Produced by Mark Bright, the forthcoming album was featured in Entertainment Weekly’s recent “10 albums we can’t wait for.” This will be the fourth studio album on 19 Recordings/Arista Nashville for the five-time Grammy winner. The debut single co-written by Underwood, “Good Girl,” will be released to country radio on February 23.

Nordstrom, in partnership with the Nashville Symphony, will present the Nordstrom Symphony Fashion Show, featuring a performance by five-time GRAMMY® winner Carrie Underwood and an exclusive presentation of Oscar de la Renta’s Pre-Fall 2012 collection on Tuesday, February 28. Carrie Underwood made wishes come true this holiday season for the schools in her hometown of Checotah, Oklahoma with donations amounting to $350,000 through her C.A.T.S. Foundation – Checotah Animal, Town, and School Foundation. Each of the four schools – Marshall Elementary, Checotah Intermediate School, Checotah Middle School, and Checotah High School – learned just in time for Christmas that they would receive the necessary funds from C.A.T.S. to fulfill various school needs. The donations will go towards items such as new computer labs for each school, plus playground equipment, physical fitness equipment, as well as new band uniforms, furniture, storage, instruments for their music programs, among other items.

“Late last year each of the schools created a list of their needs and I am so thrilled that the C.A.T.S. Foundation was able to fund it all,” said Underwood. “It gives me great joy knowing we are helping my hometown schools to offer an even better education to the students. They deserve it.”
