Nashville, TN –  Not only will seven-time GRAMMY® winner Carrie Underwood be stepping to center stage in the fashion world during New York’s Fashion Week at the recently announced Calia by Carrie Underwood show to present her fall collection, she will also appear on Lifetime’s Emmy-nominated Project Runway. Carrie will join Nina Garcia and Zac Posen as a guest judge on the season finale show that tapes Friday, September 11 with Emmy Award winners Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn. The inale episode will air Thursday, November 5 at 9pm ET/PT on Lifetime.

 

Carrie recently announced her fifth studio album, Storyteller, will be in stores on October 23. The album’s first single, “Smoke Break,” made history at country radio this week by earning the highest one-week add total in the history of trade publicationCountry Aircheck, with 145 Mediabase adds and 159 total Billboard and Country Aircheck reporting stations on board for the song’s official airplay impact date.

 

The video for “Smoke Break” premiered this week as well and is viewable online here. Now available for purchase here, the video was directed by Randee St. Nicholas, who also shot Underwood’s award-winning video for “Blown Away.”

Nashville, TN – 19 Recordings/Arista Nashville superstar Carrie Underwood took part in an online chat today on her official Facebook page, where the seven-time GRAMMY® winner revealed information about her upcoming fifth studio album.  Titled Storyteller, and set for release on October 23, the album includes tracks produced by Jay Joyce, Mark Bright, and Zach Crowell.  Storyteller will launch with the single “Smoke Break,” which was delivered digitally to country radio today for an official airplay impact date of August 24.

 

Produced by Jay Joyce, “Smoke Break” was written by Underwood, Hillary Lindsey, and Chris DeStefano, with whom Underwood wrote her most recent #1 smash, “Little Toy Guns.”

 

About the new single, Underwood says that the title isn’t necessarily meant to be literal, as she shares, “It’s basically an anthem for every hard-working person.  We all wear many hats and are spread thin, so we can all relate to being tired and needing a break.  This song is about having that moment to be able to escape from whatever it is that’s stressing you out and have some time for yourself.”

Underwood Wins Two Awards as Part of Sunday’s TEEN CHOICE 2015

Nashville – August 13, 2015 – NBC Sports Group today announced the debut of a new cinema spot tomorrow, Friday, August 14 starring seven-time GRAMMY® Award winner and multi-platinum recording artist Carrie Underwood performing “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night,” the opening theme for primetime television’s No. 1 program, Sunday Night Football on NBC.

 

The piece, a 2½-minute behind-the-scenes look at the making of this year’s Sunday Night Football show open featuring Underwood and NFL stars, will debut tomorrow, Friday, August 14 in National CineMedia’s FirstLook pre-show program in AMC, Cinemark, and Regal Entertainment Group – a network of more than 19,000 movie screens.

The 28 million tally also places Underwood among the Top 5 females in the history of the RIAA’s Digital Single Program, in the company of such worldwide superstars as Rihanna and Katy Perry.

 

Among Underwood’s newest certifications is a Gold Digital Single for her most recent #1 smash, “Little Toy Guns,” as well as her highest RIAA Digital Single honor to date: a 5x-Platinum certification for her chart-topping blockbuster, “Before He Cheats.”  With that accomplishment, Underwood becomes one of only five country artists in RIAA history to achieve that threshold with a digital single.
