HOUSTON (OCTOBER 21, 2016) Today, The DICK’S Sporting Goods Foundation and CALIA by Carrie Underwood, a fitness and lifestyle brand created in partnership with DICK’S Sporting Goods (NYSE: DKS) and multi-platinum superstar Carrie Underwood, announced a $100,000 Sports Matter grant to support girls youth and high school sports in Houston’s Aldine Independent School District (A.I.S.D.).

Since 2014, The DICK’S Sporting Goods Foundation has pledged over $50 million to support teams and raise awareness of the importance of youth sports across the country through its Sports Matter initiative.

Earlier this year CALIA by Carrie Underwood, in partnership with The DICK’S Foundation, announced plans to donate $500,000 in Sports Matter grants to girls youth sports teams across the country. The first grant was awarded in June in Underwood’s hometown to Checotah (Okla.) School District Girls’ Athletic programs.

Today, in Houston, Underwood and The DICK’S Foundation surprised A.I.S.D. female student-athletes and coaches with a $100,000 Sports Matter grant during a CALIA by Carrie Underwood meet and greet and fitness event at a DICK’S Sporting Goods new store grand opening celebration at the Baybrook Mall.

“I am so honored to partner with The DICK’S Sporting Goods Foundation as we continue to give back to girls sports teams across the country,” said Underwood. “Through today’s donation, we aim to support the girls’ athletic programs in Houston, providing many girls with the opportunity to participate in sports.”

The DICK’S Foundation will be partnering with Athletic Director, Richard Delgado, and Program Director of Resource Development, Stacey Smith, to allocate the Sports Matter grant across A.I.S.D. to the girls’ sports teams.

“At DICK’S, we believe sports make people better, and through this partnership, we are proud to provide more opportunities for girls to play sports throughout the Aldine Independent School District,” said DICK’S Chairman & CEO Edward W. Stack. “The DICK’S Foundation and our CALIA by Carrie Underwood brand look forward to this $100,000 grant making a difference in many girls’ lives.”

NASHVILLE, Tenn – (October 17, 2016) – Carrie Underwood’s “The Storyteller Tour – Stories in the Roundplayed three arena shows across Canada last week and is back in the U.S. tonight for a sold-out concert at St. Paul, Minnesota’s Xcel Energy Center. Afterward, Carrie returns to Nashville for the CMT “Artists of the Year” special which premieres this Thursday, October 20 at 8PM ET/PT.

The Storyteller Tour has received rave reviews since its launch in January and the Canadian shows were no different. “She came in like a wrecking ball…destroying the crowd of about 10,000-plus with a string of scorching numbers,” said the Edmonton Journal, continuing, “Underwood’s bold voice and down-to-earth personality were the real gifts of the night, giving us electrifying moments of rock ‘n’ roll sass and country farm.” The Saskatoon Star Phoenix claimed “Underwood owned the stage,” and The Winnipeg Free Press called it “a bombastic spectacle that made the arena feel small,” adding “she worked every inch of her 360 stage…Everything about this show was big: the stage, the lights, the thunderous backing band, that voice.”

And hitting the newsstands this week are Carrie and her rat terrier pup, Ace, gracing the cover of Redbook’s November “Giving” issue. In the feature story, she discusses life with toddler Isaiah on tour and many of her charitable endeavors including her C.A.T.S. (Checotah Animal, Town, and School) Foundation in her hometown of Checotah, Oklahoma, the donation of concert ticket proceeds to several causes, and her partnership with the DICK’S Sporting Goods Foundation Sports Matter Program to grant $500,000 to girls’ youth sports, to name a few. Underwood’s fitness lifestyle line Calia by Carrie Underwood is sold exclusively at DICK’S Sporting Goods.

Behind-The-Scenes First Look Airs Tonight on ET

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (October 11, 2016) – Seven-time GRAMMY®-winning superstar and 2016 CMA Entertainer of the Year nominee Carrie Underwood will world premiere a televised broadcast clip of her new music video for current single “Dirty Laundry” on Entertainment Tonight tomorrow, Oct. 12. Following the exclusive premiere (check local listings), fans can watch the full video at ETonline.com. ET will also take fans behind the scenes of the video shoot on this evening’s show.
“Dirty Laundry’s” dramatic and emotionally charged black and white music video is Carrie’s first collaboration with director Shane C. Drake of Taillight Productions. “I really connected with Shane’s artistic vision for the video,” says Carrie. “It’s all about emotion and that moment when a woman has finally reached that point, after the heartache, of being done with a relationship. Shane had the idea to include some beautiful animals that represent the parallels between human and animal behavior and instincts, which look great interwoven with visuals of emotional women and men. It gave us a way to portray one of my songs in a way we’ve never done before.”

The song, currently at #20 on both the Billboard and Mediabase country airplay charts, is the fourth single from her gold-certified, fifth studio album, Storyteller, which has produced three consecutive #1 singles, “Smoke Break,” “Heartbeat” and “Church Bells.” Dubbed “deliciously dark” by the Boston Globe, and “elegantly structured and technically impressive” by The New York Times, “Dirty Laundry” is produced by Jay Joyce and written by Zach Crowell, Ashley Gorley, and Hillary Lindsey.

Carrie recently received four nominations at the upcoming 50th Annual CMA Awards, November 2, (8:00 – 11:00PM/ET) on the ABC Television Network, where she will co-host with Brad Paisley for the ninth consecutive year. She garnered her first ever nomination for the coveted Entertainer of the Year award as well as nominations for Female Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year for Storyteller, and Musical Event of the Year with Keith Urban for “The Fighter.”

Carrie’s “Storyteller Tour – Stories In The Round,” ranked as Billboard’s #1 country tour for the first half of 2016, will continue through November. In December she will head to New Zealand and Australia as part of Keith Urban’s “ripCORD World Tour 2016.” For a full list of upcoming tour dates, visit www.carrieunderwood.fm.

NASHVILLE, Tenn – (September 23, 2016) – CMA Entertainer of the Year nominee and Pollstar’s three-time top female country touring artist, Carrie Underwood, brought her “The Storyteller Tour – Stories in the Roundto Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena last night to a sold-out crowd of 15,000 fans. This is Carrie’s fourth consecutive headline tour to play the hometown venue, with previous tours including the “Carnival Ride Tour,” “Play On Tour,” and “The Blown Away Tour.”

Nashville’s Tennessean said, Underwood makes sure that every song has its moment — and it’s clear that now is hers…(she) has blossomed into a confident, engaging headliner who can stomp her stilettos through edgy, feisty hits “Undo It,” “Last Name” and “Before He Cheats” yet be open and vulnerable while she reaches out to fellow moms before “What I Never Knew I Always Wanted.” She spent about two hours on the expansive stage in flawless voice, fostering connections with the fans in front of her without making the audience at her back feel left out. Underwood created drama with her outfit changes but easily outshined her sequins. She wasn’t upstaged by her jaw-dropping set — just bolstered by it.

“The Storyteller Tour” continues tomorrow in Columbia, South Carolina at the Colonial Life Arena and runs through November including four dates in Canada as well as a stop at NYC’s Madison Square Garden. The seven-time GRAMMY Award winner will join Keith Urban on his RipCORD World Tour 2016, playing arenas in New Zealand and Australia in the month of December.

Carrie will return to Bridgestone Arena to co-host “The 50th Annual CMA Awards,” November 2, (8:00 – 11:00PM/ET) on the ABC Television Network where she is nominated in the coveted CMA Entertainer of the Year category. She also received nominations for Female Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year for her Storyteller album, and Musical Event of the Year with Keith Urban for “The Fighter.”

Billboard ranked “The Storyteller Tour” the #1 country tour for the first half of 2016. During that time the tour rolled in to 47 cities as well as seven different countries, playing to nearly 600,000 people since the tour launched January 30 in Jacksonville, FL. The dramatic in-the-round stage production has been seen by 360-degree sell-out arena crowds across North America in cities such as Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Boston, Washington DC, St. Louis, Denver, Phoenix, San Antonio, Houston, Chicago, and Toronto to name just a few. The tour crossed from one coast to the other coast and cities in between as well as traveling overseas to play in Sweden, Norway, Scotland, England, and Ireland as part of Country to Country (C2C), Europe’s biggest country music festival.

A donation of $1 from each ticket sold on the U.S. dates of “The Storyteller Tour” will be contributed to the C.A.T.S Foundation to help aid its causes including Checotah, Oklahoma’s education and literacy programs. NASHVILLE, Tenn – (August 30, 2016) – Seven-time Grammy winner and Pollstar’s three-time top female country touring artist, Carrie Underwood, will launch the fall leg of “The Storyteller Tour – Stories in the Round,” the biggest tour of her career, tomorrow night in Anchorage, Alaska. Billboard ranked the tour the #1 country tour for the first half of 2016.

The fall tour dates of “The Storyteller Tour – Stories in the Round begins with Carrie’s inaugural performance in Alaska tomorrow night, and will include stops at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, CA, Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN and Madison Square Garden in New York, NY. When the tour wraps at the end of November she will have played 82 arenas on tour. In December Carrie will join Keith Urban on the Australian and New Zealand leg of hisripCORD World Tour 2016.

During the first half of 2016 “The Storyteller Tour” rolled in to 47 cities as well as seven different countries, playing to nearly 600,000 people since the tour launched January 30 in Jacksonville, FL. The dramatic in-the-round stage production has been seen by 360-degree sell-out arena crowds across North America in cities such as Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Boston, Washington DC, St. Louis, Denver, Phoenix, San Antonio, Houston, Chicago, Toronto to name just a few. The tour crossed from one coast to the other coast and cities in between as well as traveling overseas to play in Sweden, Norway, Scotland, England, and Ireland as part of Country to Country (C2C), Europe’s biggest country music festival.

The Storyteller Tour – Stories in the Round,” one of her most spectacular concert tours to date, has caught the attention of fans and music critics alike because of the stand-out performances and the dynamic production.

The show “is a no-expense-spared spectacle that highlights her approachable beauty, her roar of a voice and a substantive set of songs that have commanded the charts since her ‘American Idol’ victory a long decade ago.”
Atlanta Journal Constitution.

“The most stunning part of the production however, remains Underwood’s voice, strong and nuanced.”
The Boston Globe

“Lasers and swaying spotlights and fireworks and explosions all added to the spectacle. But make no mistake, Underwood was the star of the show.” – Florida Times-Union

The 2016 tour is in support of Carrie’s Gold-certified Storyteller album, which made a historic debut in October 2015 when she became the only artist in the chart’s 51-year history to have each of her first six albums to enter the chart at #1. The album has produced three #1 singles so far with “Smoke Break,” “Heartbeat” and “Church Bells” with it’s fourth single, “Dirty Laundry,” currently climbing the charts.

A donation of $1 from each ticket sold on the U.S. dates of “The Storyteller Tour” will be contributed to the C.A.T.S Foundation to help aid its causes including Checotah, Oklahoma’s education and literacy programs. Established in 2009, the C.A.T.S. (Checotah Animal, Town, and School) Foundation helps with general causes, needs, and services in the area of Checotah, Oklahoma, Carrie’s hometown, to directly impact the community.

The North American tour, with the exception of Anchorage, is promoted by AEG Live and includes special guests Easton Corbin and The Swon Brothers.
