Due to the severe weather and flooding in Houston today, the Carrie Underwood concert scheduled for Tuesday, April 19 at the Toyota Center has been moved to April 25 so the fans can focus on taking care of their families and friends. Underwood Receives 2016 Billboard Music Awards Nominations For
Top Country Artist and Top Country Album!
NASHVILLE, TN, April 11, 2016 – Country superstar Carrie Underwood stacks up the country radio adds this week with “Church Bells,” the third release from her critically-acclaimed Gold-certified album Storyteller. The new single, produced by Mark Bright and written by Zach Crowell, Brett James, and Hillary Lindsey, officially impacts country radio today as the week’s most-added new single at Mediabase and tallies 114 stations on board across the Billboard and Country Aircheck reporting panels.
The prime time television debut of “Church Bells” took place recently when the seven-time GRAMMY® Award winner performed it on the 51st Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday, April 3 on CBS Television. Underwood’s new single was preceded by the #1 singles “Smoke Break” and “Heartbeat,” which brings Carrie’s #1 singles total to 23, 13 of which she co-wrote.
Announced earlier today, Carrie Underwood received two 2016 Billboard Music Awards nominations for “Top Country Artist” and “Top Country Album” for Storyteller, her fifth studio album. Underwood is the only female in both categories. The awards show, hosted by Ludacris and Ciara, will air live from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on ABC on May 22.
Nashville, TN – (April 11, 2016) – Seven-time Grammy winner Carrie Underwood recently extended her critically acclaimed Storyteller Tour-Stories in the Round tour through this fall including stops in Los Angeles (STAPLES Center), Nashville (Bridgestone Arena), and New York City (Madison Square Garden). It was also just announced that she will close out her year of touring playing arenas with Keith Urban on the Australian leg of his “ripCORD World Tour 2016.”
This will be Carrie’s third trip to Australia, having been there before for extensive album promotion in 2011 and again in 2012 when she also took her “Blown Away Tour” to Melbourne, Tamworth, Brisbane, and Sydney — wrapping with 2 sold-out nights at the iconic Sydney Opera House.

Underwood received nominations for Female Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year (Storyteller). Carrie has also been added as a performer, joining previously announced performers Florida Georgia Line, Thomas Rhett and more. The AMERICAN COUNTRY COUNTDOWN AWARDS are based on country music’s longest-running radio countdown show, “American Country Countdown with Kix Brooks,” which has recognized the best in country radio for more than 40 years. This year’s host and additional performers and presenters will be announced soon.
The 2016 American Country Countdown Awards will air live from the Forum in Los Angeles, CA, Sunday, May 1(8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX. The two-hour event is the first country music awards show to air live from Los Angeles in more than 10 years.
