Following the seven-week #1 success of Carrie Underwood’s GRAMMY®-nominated smash “Something in the Water” atop Billboard’s airplay/sales/streaming-based Hot Country Songs chart, the anticipation is already building for “Little Toy Guns,” the second single from her 25-song Greatest Hits: Decade #1.

 

Penned by Underwood, Chris DeStefano, and Hillary Lindsey, “Little Toy Guns” will be delivered to country radio digitally at 10 AM this Friday, January 30, for an official airplay impact date of February 17.

 

Also this Friday, the music video for “Little Toy Guns” will make its world premiere exclusively on Underwood’s Facebook page (Facebook.com/CarrieUnderwood) at 10 AM CT.

 

Right now, fans can visit her Facebook page to view a special trailer for the music video.

 

In anticipation of the Friday premiere, E! News will preview “Little Toy Guns” with a first-look video feature in their episode airing Thursday, January 29, at 6 PM CT (re-airing at 10 PM CT).

 

The video for “Little Toy Guns” was directed by PR Brown and produced by Steve Lamar for Lamar Bros TV.

 

“Little Toy Guns” is from Underwood’s chart-topping new album, Greatest Hits: Decade #1.  Released December 9, the already-RIAA-Gold-certified collection also includes 18 of her previous #1 hits, together with four songs in never-before-released versions, as well as the smash first single, “Something in the Water.”

 

In addition to the seven-week #1 success of “Something in the Water” on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart, which registers airplay, sales, and streaming, the song has won acclaim from fans and industry alike, recently #1 on Rolling Stone’s year-end social media readers’ poll of the “10 Best Country Songs of 2014.”

 

With sales now in excess of 800,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan, “Something in the Water” has also earned Underwood a GRAMMY nomination for Best Country Solo Performance at the upcoming 57th Annual GRAMMY Awards.

 

The music video for “Something in the Water” is currently in its sixth consecutive week at #1 on GAC’s fan-voted Top 20 Country Countdown.

Six-time Grammy Award-winner and multi-platinum recording artist Carrie Underwood returns to star in the special “Waiting All Day for a Super Bowl Fight” opening theme for NBC’s broadcast of Super Bowl XLIX on  Feb. 1, 2015. Each week of the last two NFL seasons, Underwood’s performance of “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night” has kicked off Sunday Night Football, primetime television’s No. 1 program.

 

The opening theme for NBC’s coverage of Super Bowl XLIX will feature new elements, including lyrics featuring the AFC champion New England Patriots and NFC champion Seattle Seahawks, and a special set design.

 

“I’m so honored to again be a part of the Super Bowl, this time joining NBC Sports in helping kick everything off!  I can’t wait to watch the game!,” says Underwood.

 

NBC will broadcast Super Bowl XLIX on Sunday, Feb. 1 from Glendale, Ariz. Coverage kicks off at Noon ET.

Superstar Carrie Underwood has now surpassed a personal best that she set with her debut single, “Jesus, Take the Wheel,” as her GRAMMY®-nominated smash “Something in the Water” achieves a seventh cumulative week at #1 on Billboard’s airplay/sales/streaming-based Hot Country Songs chart.

 

The Gold-certified “Something in the Water” recently topped Rolling Stone’s year-end social media readers’ poll of the “10 Best Country Songs of 2014,” and it continues to be red-hot on the radio airwaves, currently approaching the summit of both the Billboard and Country Aircheck country airplay charts.
