Carrie Underwood Confirms Second Sydney Show As Part Of Her First Australian Tour

After selling out her Monday 2 July concert at Sydney Opera House in just a few days, Chugg Entertainment is pleased to announce Carrie Underwood will play a second night at the iconic venue on Tuesday 3 July.
Tickets for Carrie’s first Australian tour are on sale now.
Chairman of Chugg Entertainment, Michael Chugg wasn’t wrong when he warned tickets to Underwood’s shows would sell quickly.
He said, “It’s great news for Sydney fans who’ve missed out on tickets to Carrie’s first show and also for Carrie herself who’ll now enjoy two nights at the majestic Opera House.”
Sponsored by Olay, Underwood’s four-stop Australian tour will begin at Melbourne’s Palais Theatre on Tuesday 26 June, play TRECC in Australia’s “country music capital”, Tamworth on Friday 29 June, Brisbane’s Convention Centre on Saturday 30 June and now two special nights at the Sydney Opera House on Monday 2 and Tuesday 3 July.

Carrie Underwood’s Blown Away Holds The No.1 Spot On Billboard’s Top Country Album Chart For Fourth Consecutive Week

Blown Away Becomes First Album Since 2010 To Hold The No. 1 Spot On Billboard’s Top Country Album Chart For First 4 Weeks

Superstar Carrie Underwood’s fourth album, Blown Away, is No. 1 for the fourth consecutive week on Billboard’s Top Country Album Chart. Blown Away becomes the first album since 2010 to debut at No. 1 and stay there for four consecutive weeks on Billboard’s Top Country Album Chart.

Upon its release on May 1, Blown Away made history by debuting at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country albums sales chart making Carrie only the second country artist in the 47 year history of the chart to have each of their first four albums debut at No. 1. Blown Away also debuted at No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart making Carrie only the second country artist in history to have three consecutive albums debut at No. 1. Blown Away became country’s best-selling digital album debut since 2010.

Carrie will perform at the 2012 CMT Music Awards live from Nashville on Wednesday, June 6. Carrie is the most nominated artist at this year’s CMT Music Awards with 5 nods. Her video “Good Girl” is up for “Video of the Year” and “Female Video of the Year.” Carrie and Steven Tyler’s performance of “Just A Dream/Dream On” on CMT’s Crossroads is nominated for “CMT Performance of the Year.” Carrie and Brad Paisley’s “Remind Me” video is up for “Video of the Year” and “Collaborative Video of the Year.”

Since releasing Some Hearts in 2005, Carrie has sold more than 14 million albums with Some Hearts, 2007’s Carnival Ride, and 2009’s Play On making her the best selling American Idol in the US.
