Nashville, TN – Three-time GRAMMY winner and two-time, reigning CMA and ACM Female Vocalist winner Carrie Underwood delivers a special treat to help usher in the coming Christmas season with the October 21 release of a holiday edition of her current album, Carnival Ride. Available exclusively at Wal-Mart, the holiday version will be a two-disc package featuring the Carnival Ride album along with a second disc containing five Christmas favorites, four of which are previously unreleased.

Among the seasonal classics are “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing,” “The First Noel,” “What Child Is This,” and “O Holy Night” – all newly recorded for this collection – in addition to Carrie’s rendition of “Do You Hear What I Hear,” featured on last year’s multi-artist compilation, Hear Something Country Christmas.

NASHVILLE – (Sept. 22, 2008) – Carrie Underwood’s highly successful album CARNIVAL RIDE was recently nominated as CMA Album of The Year, and her headline tour of the same name, the “Carnival Ride Tour,” has shared tremendous success as well since launching earlier this year. Over 700,000 fans have attended the tour so far, with 51 more shows planned this fall in the U.S. and Canada. By the end of the year, Underwood will have performed 137 live shows in 2008, in addition to her many Opry and TV performances. NASHVILLE – (September 10, 2008)- Carrie Underwood’s ride continues as she garners two 2008 CMA Award nominations- Album of The Year, for the multi-platinum CD Carnival Ride with producer Mark Bright, and Female Vocalist of The Year, an honor she has won the past two years. Underwood learned the good news this morning as she was heading into tour rehearsals.

Nashville- (Sept. 3, 2008) Three-time Grammy winner Carrie Underwood has joined Mariah Carey, Beyoncé , Mary J. Blige, Rihanna, Sheryl Crow, Melissa Etheridge, and more, in recording the charity single “Just Stand Up,” with all proceeds from the single being donated to the Stand Up To Cancer charity effort. The all-star line-up of female artists will debut “Just Stand Up” for television audiences during the Sept. 5th “Stand Up To Cancer” fund-raising event. The one-hour commercial-free special will be broadcast simultaneously on ABC, CBS and NBC networks.

“It seems that everyone has been touched by cancer these days, whether it be a personal experience, a family member or friend, or their families,” says Underwood. “If by participating in this charity effort I entice just one person to give funds for cancer research, then it will be so worthwhile.”
