“So Small” Video Sets Streaming Record for CMT.com!

Carrie Underwood’s newest music video, “So Small,” set single day streaming records for CMT.com during its exclusive debut on Thursday, September 20, and is expected to set full week streaming records during its first week of exclusive availability on CMT.com. The Web site’s single day traffic on September 20 shot up 10% in unique users versus the site’s daily average, and the video netted the highest number of one-day streams for a single video on record for CMT.com. During its debut week, “So Small” is projected to stream an estimated 200,000 times, setting a first week streaming record for CMT.com. CMT.com was the exclusive host of the online stream of “So Small,” during its debut week from Thursday, September 20 – 27.

In addition to its exclusive online debut, “So Small” made its world television premiere last Thursday, as CMT aired the video back-to-back for six straight hours, becoming “Carrie Music Television.” The stunt was the first of its kind for CMT with the video airing 66 consecutive times. The event also coincided with the music video’s world premiere for purchase at the iTunes Store (www.itunes.com), which was the exclusive source to purchase the video throughout its debut week.

“So Small,” written by Underwood, Luke Laird, and Hillary Lindsey, broke records earlier this month when it earned the highest first-week sales of any country airplay single in digital history. The song also debuted on the Billboard/R&R country airplay chart last month as the highest entry by a solo country female artist in Nielsen BDS history.

Underwood’s new 19 Recordings/Arista Nashville album, Carnival Ride, will be released October 23.
