Taylor can't sing. She just can't! I, personally, think she tries too hard when she's performing. like with the CMT awards, did she really need a giant squad of cheerleaders, a bedroom set, a bench, and whatever else? No, i don't think she did. Carrie Underwood is definitely the better, all-around artist. She is my IDOL!!!!

im a huge Carrie fan & i personally think that if Taylor Swift is the future of country music i will no longer be a fan of this type of music. i cannot stand her trying to sing! she is way over rated and not that good of a singer. i prefer miranda lambert 2 taylor swift any day! but neither of them will ever be half as good as Carrie!...anxiously awaiting the new album!!

I agree I don't like Taylor Swift either! Carrie is by far the best! Carrie is far Prettier than Taylor and can sing 100% better! I think Taylor's music is anerexic like her.

I know Carrie,Underwood is the best. I`m not saying anything offensive about another Artist. My 7 - year old Grandchild loves Taylor,Swift. Remember thoes younger kids who idolize Taylor, Swift; Carrie Underwood is my American Idol also. Too me Carrie, Underwood; is definitely the Greast Artist that I love to hear singing & Carrie puts the best show for you too see and, You definitely want to come back for more.

Definitely Carrie, there's no contest. but i must say i respect the fact that taylor writes her own songs. that being said, she can't sing live to save her life. Carrie on the other hand can bring a crowd to their feet and has proven herself on some of the biggest stages in the country. her immense award collection should say something about the praise the country and american music worlds have given her. But ya, posting this on the Carrie fan site makes it kind of obvious who we're going to pick. Carrie's number one today, tomorrow and forever!!!

this is not even a good question? in my opinion, because too darn obvious who would win Carrie without a douobt, and the only reason Taylor won at the CMT awards which is a joke in itself, just because Taylor was there and Carrie wasn't, she was home celebrating her mom's birthday. Carrie should have won those awards not Taylor. No offensive Taylor.

I hate to knock Taylor. She seems like such a sweet person, and she has an enormous respect for the people who have come before her. But......she sounds pitchy on a note or two in almost every sentence of any given song she is singing. To me, the first thing a singer has to be able to do, is get every note right, like Carrie, and the best ones do.

Carrie! obviously. i always fight with my friends over that same question and is truely ridiculous, of course carrie is the best. it does not even compare. taylor is goo, ok, but Carrie is wonderful, i mean, her vocal are always good and she gets to notes that Taylor would never dream to get...

I"m kind of surprised this is being asked on Carrie's official site. When it comes to vocal ability and the quality of the songs Carrie wins hands down. Her songwriting has evolved and shows her compassion for others and also that she has a fun sassy side. There is real depth to her music. Taylor is a talented story teller which makes her a good songwriter, but she has limited vocal range and the subject matter follows a common theme. Since I prefer the big voices like Trisha, Martina and Carrie, I actually switch the station when Taylor comes on.because her voice is like nails on a chalkboard for me. She has found a niche, she is very popular right now and is milking it to the hilt. To her credit, she seems like a nice girl and a good role model. Carrie's voice has such purity to it - it is mesmerizing and you can't wait to hear more. To me that is the sign of a great vocalist and a true artist.

I am pretty much going to say what every Carrie Underwood fan is saying on this issue. Carrie is a much better vocalist than Taylor. Even though Taylor Swift writes all of her songs, all her songs are about the same thing. I am tired of hearing about Taylor's teenage relationship problems. Eventually Taylor is gonna grow up and not be able to get away with these songs. Meanwhile, the songs that Carrie sings tell many different stories. Lastly, Carrie Underwood's music appeals to all generations of people. Taylor Swift's music only appeals to young teen and pre-teen girls.
