So heres my story of the first time i ever heard carrie.
I was watching the live shows of American Idol season 5, it was the early stages and ryan seacrest announced season 4 winner carrie underwood, i didnt watch the season she won so i didnt have a clue who she was but anyway she came out and i thought shes pretty then she opened her mouth. She started singing 'jesus take the wheel' and her voice just sent shivers down my spine. I thought damn that girl can sing. So when the show finished i downloaded every song she sang on American Idol and bought her album some hearts.

Its not just her voice or appearance that draws you she seems like a normal down to earth girl that could be your friend. If someone is a good singer but not a good person you dont have the same feelings towards them but Carrie seems like a solid decent person which makes listening to her music all the more sweeter.

She opened a whole new world for me because coming from England you associate country music with bails of hay and check shirts but thats really not the case.

If it wasnt for Carrie Underwood i wouldnt have been open to country music and i thank her for the gift of her music.
