Carrie, I think you do a great job and have tried to be a positive role model for my girls. However, this morning my 8 year old daughter heard the song All American Girl and said "Mommy, is she saying dads only like to bring boys fishing? I go fishing with my dad." Your song forced me to explain that although I have taught her that she can do anything there are still people in this world who think certain things are for boys and certain things are for girls. I followed that by telling her that my dad coached my girls soccer team to state finals several years in a row and I love fishing too!

It is a great sounding song but the lyrics are sending the wrong message especially to the young girls who listen to Radio Disney.
