the Troops Concert Performance

Country music will celebrate the heroes who keep our country safe, as superstar Carrie Underwood headlines the Salute to the Troops Concert on August 14 for the Soldiers and families of Fort Campbell, KY, whose 101st Airborne Division is returning from their service in the Middle East.

The show is one of only a handful of live performances that Carrie is doing this summer as she readies her new album for later this year. The special nature of the event offered a wonderful opportunity for Carrie to once again celebrate our military, as she did on a 2006 USO holiday tour in Kuwait and Iraq.

The August 14 show will also feature RCA Nashville recording artist Jake Owen as part of two nights of star-studded multi-artist concerts taking place during the Week of the Eagles, presented by Fort Campbell’s Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) in partnership with Cumulus Broadcasting. The event-filled biannual celebration this year runs from August 14-20 and pays tribute to the Screaming Eagles of the 101st Airborne Division.

While honoring veterans, troops and their families, the Week of the Eagles is also free and open to the public. In observance of post protocol, all visitors will be required to present valid photo ID and will need to show current registration and proof of insurance for any vehicle admitted.

I Love Carrie's music and listen to her all the time.
But Carrie where are your manners?
A very good freind of mine stopped for you last week when you were sitting along side the road with 2 flat tires and he gave you a ride to the next town. He said you were a very nice young lady and gave your managers card to him and told him to call for some free tickets,(which he told you he wouldn't be able to use). He said all that was nice but that you didn't even say "thank you". Little things like that mean alot to people like us.
But we still love ya!

I am so excited for you to come to Ft. Campbell you are a role model and a fantastic young lady. I have been a huge fan since you were on American Idol ( knew you would win) . I have a granddaughter who "adores" you and your music. She is in the picture I posted on here ,,,Please take a little time to get to know those of us who support and defend this country. We are so honored you haven't forgotten the small population of the men and women in this country who protect our freedom. Would love to meet you personally your like the girl next door and a fantastic singer.
