What is the matter with people, TS has very little talent--all of her songs sound the same---and few sound good let alone country--she needs to decide where she stands, country or pop and stop riding the fence. All she is good for is kissing up to those she thinks will move her along like she did in her first song about Tim McGraw---Either way I don't like her.

It's not the singing that counts, it's the video!

Carrie's singing doesn't have to do with losing, it's the director that actually gets credit...so don't credit Taylor Swift for her video but Trey Franjoy, the director. Gets?

Although Taylor has many fans, and can write amazingly, but the fact is, she can't sing! (duh!) NO OFFENSE. But compared to Carrie, hey, Carrie can write too. How many Carrie singles (written) topped the chart, all, 100%. Unlike OTHERS! (~,~)

It's just a fact, never believe in most (not all, like american idol, ACM--it's very prestigious) fan-based award-giviing bodies*, they're just minor sucking awards show...
Believe in the Award-giving bodies that really study artists and songs that should really be credited like Grammy, ACM, CMA, etc.

*for ACM since the Entertainer of the Year and New Artist are being fan-voted, but still, nominees undergo through a needle's eye to become a nominee.

first off, i was completely disappointed when carrie was not in the female video of the year..more so (more disappointing) when she lost over taylor "the cockroach voice" swift in the video of the year category!!! i would honestly say that love story's video WAS eye-catching and attracting but only for the first 3 times you watch it. after those 3 times, it's not that good anymore and her voice just starts sounding sick! and i believe that carrie's just a dream is a master-class video and it's obviously way better!!!

i just try to think that since CMT is the only fan-based show in country music, taylor's fans try to give their all so that taylor can have the spotlight even for just one show. COZ HONESTLY, SHE CAN'T WIN OVER CARRIE WHEN WE TALK ABOUT FEMALE VOCALIST OF THE YEAR!!! carrie would effortlessly wipe her off the floor with her amazing vocals!

I really am shocked Carrie didn't win. She really did deserve it Dont know much about Taylor but Im sorry to say she is def. not as talented. I wouldn't be surprised if the awards were somehow rigged.

For those of you asking I follow Carrie on Twitter and if legite she is on a mini vacation for her mom's bday and missed the CMTs I was surprised when they didn't show her then signed up for twitter on Wed., added to follow her and found reason.

I'm assuming you all saw the 2009 CMT awards (aka the Taylor Swift Show)! I was soooo mad when I found out that Carrie was only nominated for only one award, first of all. Then she loses to Taylor Swift (?!?!?!) If that wasn't bad enough, what was the CMT awards without Carrie? I got so bored. The only GREAT performance i saw was Sugarland/B-52s! Anyway, Carrie should have SO won Video of the Year, i couldn't believe it! Carrie Underwood Forever!!!

First of all, I can't believe Carrie was only nominated for 1 award. That's crazy!

Second of all, who turned it into the Taylor Swift show?!?!?!?! With the opening and the award and her performing last. It was so stupid! Was Carrie even there???

I respect Taylor Swift, and she's a great performer. But live, she really isn't that great. At all.

This is bull. I think they just let Taylor Swift win so she could go to the stage and stay there to let Def Leppard perform with her. It is as if it was called TS Music Awards instead of CMT Music Awards (TS for Taylor Swift). Idk if you guys realized but Carrie Underwood was never pictured on the awards. I do think this year was the worst year for the awards. I will do whatever it takes to get carrie to win next year. I actually voted for her at cmt.com for everything at one time she was nominated for this year. It was retarded the Taylor Swift stuff they did at the beginning. Trust me I bet Carrie can rap better with T-Pain than Taylor Swift did. Carrie can sing love story hell of a lot better than taylor (if only she did). Where was Carrie last night at the CMT Awards? I thought the show was a total waste. Somebody made it the Talor Swift Show and it was terrible! I have not heard her sing live that she hit the right notes and all that swinging of her head and hair like Miley Cirus is rediculous. Not to mention, she can't dance.

Carrie is always so precise with her notes. She is a "classy lady", a superb rolemoddle, and oh so humble. I would be proud to have her for a daughter!

ya, i'm disappointed carrie didn't win. i like taylor and everything but carrie definitely deserved it more. and i also thought it was ridiculous that carrie didn't make it into female video of the year. she could have creamed taylor and kellie

but does anybody know where carrie was? i don't think she even attended because she always either sings and/or makes an appearance. they didn't even show her sitting in the stands or anything.

OMG. I was pissed when they announce the winner. Clearly that person can't even sing live and doing a duet with Def Leapard is ........... What some said the BATON has been passed on? Please re-analize the whole thing.

On Carrie, well she has come a long way since winning Idol. It has been on day one from her idol slint to how much she has grown as an artiste. Winning the ACMA Entertainer of the Year is the greatest achievement. Carrie can just sing and rocks out any song and make it her own.

It's too bad that Carrie didn't even get voted into that list for "Female Video of the Year." There were 2 people who are for sure not even in the same league and never will be as Carrie: Taylor Swift and Kellie Pickler. Taylor can't sing that well but I guess the teenyboppers like her and Kellie Pickler is at best mediocre. I think Carrie's staying power is tremendous. But I've seen blogs that indicated the Swift and Pickler fans made sure that Carrie was blocked out of the voting. I don't know if that's true, but I don't think some of Country Music people will ever forgive the fact that she was discovered by and won Season 4 of American Idol. Winning that skyrocketed her to stardom. It wasn't her fault that she was so good and that America loved her. I think there's a whole lot of jealousy out there in the country music world. She's done some pretty remarkable things in her short career. Taylor and Kellie fans knew that if she was still in the running for female video of the year, she probably would have won.

Carrie is gorgeous, classy, confident, strong and knows who she is as a singer and performer. She's always on the Red Carpet because she is now a 'fashion icon,' and has been selected to People's 100 Most Beautiful People for the last 3 years. She transcends her music. I think the most important thing is that she seems to be a great role model for young women. I hope and pray that she is able to keep everything in its proper perspective.

I can't believe! Taylor won't video of the year!!!!! But Carrie is my idol in my heart forever!!!!! Love Carrie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
