Carrie Special Exhibit Opens At Country Music Hall Of Fame June 11, 2009

Jun 2

Carrie Underwood: All-American Girl, a spotlight exhibit featuring the merlot silk taffeta gown worn by Carrie at the 2009 Academy of Country Music Awards, will open June 11 at the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum in Nashville, TN. Underwood won two awards at the ceremony: Entertainer of the Year and Top Female Vocalist.

The show-stopping dress, which was created by Miami-based designer Rafael Cennamo, features 120 yards of fabric and an eight-foot-long train. Underwood wore the voluminous confection during her April 5 performance of her hit song “I Told You So” (written and recorded originally by Randy Travis). “It was an honor to wear such a beautiful dress during one of the most special nights of my life. I truly felt like a princess!” says Underwood.

Carrie Underwood: All-American Girl, which is included with regular Museum admission, will remain open through December 31, 2009. If you're going to be in Nashville for CMA MusicFest, June 11-14, be sure to check out the exhibit.

Many people confuse the local Humane Societies and the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS). This confusion is understandable since the HSUS want people to think (all for greater financial support) they are the humane societies that help cats and dogs. I for one, am an animal-lover and most all the cats and dogs I own and that live on my farm are all rescued. I do not agree with any of the HSUS's views and thoughts. Their activities and ideologies I believe are the polar opposite of caring animal lovers.
Carrie Underwood’s choice to make such a large contribution to the HSUS makes me wonder if she is giving up her small town farm roots or else foolish enough to agree to something that she did not take any time to look into the organization; regardless, I am very disappointed in Carrie Underwood. I would rather see Carrie and all others give to local shelters and humane societies, not the HSUS. The HSUS is a multi-million dollar organization that has contributed pennies to animals in need, but rather they spend majority of their money on trying to stop farming and promoting vegetarianism and veganism. Thier efforts harm more animals than it does help.

God has truly blessed you in you life. I only pray that God will be with you as you continue To do God's will for your life. God has made you to sing. I hope remember always give glory to God.
congradulation on you win.
God bless
Mark

Re: concernedfan

What do you mean you don’t agree with the HSUS’s views and thoughts? The HSUS believes animals should be treated humanely; you must be evil or very confused to disagree with something like that. And to say that the HSUS’s activities are the polar opposite of caring for animals is ridiculous. The HSUS fights to stop animal cruelty on a national level. It busts dogfighters, saves hundreds of dogs from cruel puppy mills, rescues animals in disasters, and much more. If that’s not considered caring for animals, I don’t know what is.

There is absolutely nothing “wrongful” about Carrie donating to the HSUS. I’m one of her biggest fans and I like her even more because she supports a good cause. Go Carrie!

LadyBug6 is right! The Humane Society of the United States' Mission Statement is: Celebrating Animals, Confronting Cruelty. Concernedfan claims to be an animal lover, but doesn't share that belief? With fans like that, Carrie doesn't need any enemies! If anything, Carrie's donations to HSUS prove that she HASN'T forgotten who she was before she was famous. Go and be hateful somewhere else, concernedfan; the Carrie Underwood Site is not the place for those kinds of comments.

Carrie you have come a long way and you know that. You WON Entertainer of the Year! How cool is that? Amazing! You are very pretty:) and I'm so glad they have an exhibit I hope I get to see it one day:) Hey fans I'm new so add me:) or whatever.ha ha.

-God Bless You All!

You worked really hard sweety. I am happy for you. I will try and stop by that exhibit when I am in Nashville next. That was a very beautiful dress. Your performance was spectacular! You are a wonderful singer Carrie. Congradulations on the award and the exhibit. May God bless you Carrie and keep you in his graces. You are a wonderful person and a spectacular performer!

Your donations are your business. We all love animals. People try to help animals in many ways. That sounds like a nice mission statement Radon. Thanks for posting. HSUS and local animal shelters all serve an important role to help animals. This really is not the place to discuss Carrie's business. We all should save this space to praise Carrie on her music and how talented she is. She is AWESOME ! We love you Carrie! You are a sweetheart with a heart of gold. May God keep blessing you and keep you strong. We are all so blessed to have you in our lives. Your music and talents are wonderful. It is an honor to watch you perform. Your beauty and talent are exceptional benefits we get for being your fans! Carrie I once wrote an essay about how happy your performances make me. You have such quality and a stage presence that supports a time honored Opry Tradition. You are truly exceptional and a joy to watch. I Love You babydoll! With love and adoration, Bryan Garten
