Carrie is among the award nominees for Teen Choice 2009, with her double-platinum Carnival Ride album competing in the all-genre category of Choice Music: Album (Female Artist). Teens aged 13 to 19 will be choosing their favorites, with online voting underway now at www.teenchoiceawards.com. Teens can vote once a day if they like, with balloting continuing through August 1 at 12:01 AM PT. Teen Choice 2009 will air August 10, at 8 PM ET, on FOX. Click here to vote now!

This is a teen award Taylor is a teen pop princess with a huge teen audience with tin ears.I won't expect Carrie to win against her here regarless how little vocally talented Taylor is.I can't vote in this not being eligible but this won't hurt near as much as that Love Story winning over JAD did That Sucked at the CMT Pop Show.

I love Carrie, she's my girl. But, as an older teen, i don't think she appeals to the younger teen audience, does she? Doesn't she appeal more toward older teens/adults? On top of that, she's going against Taylor, whose entire audience consists of tweens and teens! Does Carrie stand a chance? So, should i vote? Hmm.....
