Carrie Nominated For ACM Album Of The Year

Today the Academy of Country Music announced that Carrie's "Carnival Ride" album is among the nominees for the Album of the Year category for the 44th Annual ACM Awards.
This nomination brings Carrie's total number of award nominations for this year's show to four. Her other nominations include Entertainer of Year, Top Female Vocalist, and her video “Just a Dream” is nominated for Video of the Year.
The ceremony will be broadcast LIVE from the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 5th, 2009 at 8:00 PM ET/PT on the CBS Television Network.

Congratulations, and Happy 26 th. Birthday to Carrie on March 10! I figured out how to remember Carrie's birthday. Her website describes her as a whirlwind (which I think is like unusual weather) and on March 10, 1980, (not the year Carrie was born) all the snow was gone in Kitchener, Ontario, and stayed gone until about November. Followed by Feb. 17, 1981. Perhaps because of global warming. Before global warming, I think every year the snow used to stay on the ground until some time in April, in Kitchener. I hope Carrie wins Entertainer of The Year Award, but I don't really know much about what the award means. I think Kenny Chesney has won it for a few years, and maybe other guys like duos Big and Rich, and Brooks and Dunn. I believe this award is given to guys who like to sing about drinking beer and booze, and having wild booze filled parties, both in their songs and music videos, and in their own personal time when they're not working, so they're thought of as great entertainers both at work, and at play. I just don't see how Carrie can compete with them in that way, but her song, "Last Name" describes what seems to me, like heavy drinking (Cuevo?) Good Luck to Carrie!

It's refreshing to hear great music these days and from someone who has a dynamic voice. Congratulation again on your nominations. Have you thought of releasing a CD of the favorite songs you sang on Idol? I'm sure it would sell millions.
