Some Hearts

Some Hearts

Did anyone else know that "Some Hearts" is not Carrie's song. I was watching "America's Sweethearts" (yah, an older movie, i know) and the first song that plays in the end credits is Some Hearts. It's being sung by someone named Kelly Levesque, or something, and i know that AS was made even before Carrie made that CD. Does anyone know anything about this?

I did not know that so I Googled it & this is what i found on Wikipedia

"Some Hearts" is a song written by Diane Warren. It was originally recorded by Marshall Crenshaw for his 1989 album Good Evening. Another version, sung by Kelly Levesque, was featured in the 2001 film America's Sweethearts. A third version was recorded by Maria Arredondo for her 2004 album Not Going Under.

In 2005, it was recorded by Carrie Underwood as the title track of her debut album, Some Hearts, and was the album's third single. It was released to pop and adult contemporary radio in the United States in November 2005, around the same time that "Jesus, Take the Wheel" was released to country radio. "Some Hearts" peaked at number twelve on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart and reached number twenty-two on the Adult Top 40 chart. The song had no accompanying music video and was not released to country radio.

Underwood performed the song at the 2005 Billboard Music Awards, the half-time of the 2006 NBA All-Star Game in Houston, and during her promotional tour for the album's release. The song was used in early commercials for American Idol's website during season six of the show, until Daughtry's "Home" was used after Hollywood week.

I didn't know that. But I don't care who wrote it, as much as I love hearing Carrie sing it. Laughing out loud
