This FAN LOVES Carrie Underwood ESPECIALLY because she stands up for those that cannot speak. Who needs these radical anti-animal lovers anyway. PETA and HSUS are the heroes of tomorrow!!! MORE POWER TO YOU CARRIE FOR STANDING UP!!

I do not support PETA, I think it is a bit extreme with the "animal loving".
Certian meats are meant to be eaten...
Anyways, I think HSUS is good. Howcome killing an animal is a sport? How could it be a sport?

Yes, And That's Probably Why She's Supporting HSUS. Hunting is the sick problem. You people hunt for fun. Don't deny it. And That Is Just Wrong. Hunting For Food, To Survive, is Something Different. But For Fun... It's Just Sick.

Oh... and so much for a huge career hit. She won EotY. I think it's more of a Career Boost!

Unfortunately, HSUS is not only after the hunters but the agricultural community as a whole. I work in the ag business and have seen the legislation that HSUS is pushing to basically put farmers, ranchers and producers out of business. If HSUS gets their way dairies will be gone (hope you like Soy Milk), beef businesses will disappear, pork, poultry......all will be gone or crippled so badly that food prices will skyrocket!

HSUS is not as much animal rights as they are anti-human!!!

Here in Colorado, the agricultural businesses, organizations and individuals are pushing back against HSUS, PETA and SHARK. And unfortunately, Carrie is in the cross-hairs (so to speak) of the agricultural community. Big pushes to boycott her!

Here we go again. Look morons. The chances that any of you will ever get her boycotted is like 100,000,000,000 to 1. She just wonder Entertainer of the Yeah. Any station stupid enough to stop playing her music will be shut down as a result of a sudden loss of listeners.

That's right. You know it too. If Carrie won Entertainer of the Year, and her competition was Kenny Chesney, George Strait, Brad Paisley, and Keith Urban, then that should be enough to tell you how many fans are out there. Sure, I'm sure a lot of us voted multiple times, but still. I'm sure Fans of Keith, Kenny, George and Brad did too. But it obviously wasn't enough to stop us Carrie Fans.

Therefore, keep saying the word "Boycott." Because I can tell you, no radio station is stupid enough to do such a thing.

I think Carrie Underwood has just made the biggest mistake of her career, My family and I will not listen nor buy any of her music again, you know if you want to be a veggie eater then do as you wish, dont push your ways on to others who perfer meat. We are full time farmers and this is our life as we know it and has been a very wonderful one as well. Big pushes to boycotts here too.

If she calls herself a country singer this will defiantly hurt her career more than help it. Being country is also all about agriculture.
Do you like to eat any sort of meat ?
If she has it her way, which she will not, meat that most all humans eat, because that is what is here for and how it is supposed to work, will be sent to the US from other countries in condensed packages like everything else. SHES COUNTRY? I dont think so!

It will be pretty much impossible to shut agriculture down. If we have no agricultural products such as, meat, eggs, milk, etc. or it is to high for everyone to buy there would not even be a U.S. because everybody would be to malnutritioned. We cant all live on pills to substitute the nutrition in meat products that we wont eat.

check out this website, read EVERYTHING and think about it.

"I think Carrie Underwood has just made the biggest mistake of her career"

Good For You. ^^

"My family and I will not listen nor buy any of her music again"

Sucks to be them, with out Carrie's music in their lives.

"you know if you want to be a veggie eater then do as you wish"

Will Do. Thanks.

"dont push your ways on to others who perfer meat"

I ain't, and Nor is Carrie. She's supporting HSUS. Never said you had to.

"We are full time farmers and this is our life as we know it and has been a very wonderful one as well"

Good For you, again.

"Big pushes to boycotts here too."

Heard, it, never happen. Sorry. But Good Luck, trying to convince all those radio stations to stop playing ACM's Entertainer Of The Year's Music.

"If she calls herself a country singer this will defiantly hurt her career more than help it."

Righttttt. SO THAT'S Why she got voted Entertainer of the Year. *Wonders about that fact*...

"Do you like to eat any sort of meat ?"

Yeah, but I've been thinking of going Veg. It's much healthier to be honest.

"SHES COUNTRY? I dont think so!"

Key Word Here: YOU don't think so. Well good for you, and your opinion.

"It will be pretty much impossible to shut agriculture down."

I concur. That's not what Carrie's trying to do.

"If we have no agricultural products such as, meat, eggs, milk, etc. or it is to high for everyone to buy there would not even be a U.S. because everybody would be to malnutritioned."

You are right. BUT... there IS agricultural products. At least at the moment. Sticking out tongue

"check out this website, read EVERYTHING and think about it. "

No Thanks. I don't visit unknown suspicious websites, that might have a virus on it. Thanks anyway.

Now I know why I never ever come on this website and prefer the real one. I'm gonna change all this cuz Im really sick of it all plus I don't need "feedback" from people ...not on here but other places. It's not worth my time anymore and what happens is gonna happen and all I can say is that if it affected your career it wouldnt make ya too happy at all either. I can't change anything but I will say that the organizations do good things AND bad silly things. Nobody is allowed to have freedom of speech anyways I spose. Or so it seems.

It still should have no effect on whether you're a fan of Carrie's or not because the reason you are a fan is because of her incredible singing and great personality. Nuff said. Shes a super great person and wants good care for all animals. The end.
Anyways, I will always be a fan of Carrie's and I trust her.

I would like to voice my displeasure in finding out Ms. Underwood is donating money to HSUS. I wish she would do a like investigating to find out if HSUS truly helps animals the way she thinks they help animals. I believe if she found the truth she would change her mind. I don't believe she is the antihunting type. God Bless You Carrie Underwood

It's Carrie's choice if she wants to support them and I respect her decision because I know where her heart is. Personally, I don't really care if she supports them or not...Carrie can do what she wants and its none of my business. I still won't support them. I get emails from classmates about legislative bills saying what some of the stuff HSUS is trying to pass that is NOT good! We vote no on that stuff and it's nothing that has to do with helping animals in any form. Seriously, it has to be realistic for the common man and some are not that I've seen. I think it's mostly stuff the HSUS doesn't understand about some of the industry and its quite annoying actually. Like I said, they do some good stuff but there is crazy things goin on that I hope I don't have to continually deal with in my career. We really never know where our money is going when we support organizations do we?.... Just because they say on a website they do this and that doesn't always mean its true.

DON'T BASH CARRIE UNDERWOOD, PERIOD

Still waiting for an answer - Does Carrie support the HSUS?"
I originally posted this on October 8th and since then it has been deleted 3 times from the forum without an answer.
Why was this deleted from the forum? Is someone hiding Carrie's support of the "The HSUS"
I posted this a week ago asking a simple question and logged on today to find it deleted. Why? Is Ms. Underwood affiliated with HSUS? Is she ashamed of her affiliation with HSUS? What is the truth?

COPY OF ORIGINAL POST:

Does Carrie support the anti-hunting, anti-2nd Amendment, anti-American organization "The Humane Society (HSUS)?"
After reading a blurp in an NRA magazine, I was curious...Does Carrie Underwood support the anti-hunting, anti-2nd Amendment organization known as the Humane Society (HSUS)?

My sons (8 and 11 years old) both deer hunters, asked me to post this question to Ms. Underwood? They enjoy her music, as do I, but if she supports such a radical anti-constitutional, anti-American way of life group, sadly we shall have to stop supporting her with our money and patronage. If true, then this is a shame, as actions such as this will surely alienate a large portion of her fan base from the mainstream of American life. Other country singers are avid hunters and shooters, and Ms. Underwood should rethink this support for HSUS if this matter is true.

So the question I have for Ms. Underwood is - Do you donate money to and support the anti-American group - The Humane Society (HSUS)?

Thank you.

HSUS Tries To Slip One Past Country Fans

Friday, March 20, 2009

The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), the most radical animal "rights" and anti-hunting organization in the country, has been quietly trying to get Carrie Underwood voted Entertainer of the Year via the Academy of Country Music. The problem is, a large percentage of country music fans are also gun owners and hunters who do not like Carrie Underwood's active support for HSUS. And HSUS knows it.

Underwood and American Idol have already listed HSUS as a beneficiary of the proceeds of one of her songs and now HSUS is enlisting their radical animal rights supporters to vote for her in the Entertainer of the Year contest. But they are trying to keep it quiet. In an e-mail sent out to supporters by Kathy Bauch, the HSUS Senior Director for Corporate Relations & Promotions, she asked people to vote for Underwood, but added, "Feel free to distribute this to friends and family, but please don't post to lists, twitter, etc.--anything that would identify that HSUS is urging people to vote for her, or it could just breathe life into the opposition."

Oops, too late!

Perhaps someone should tell the folks at HSUS that e-mails are not exactly the most secure way of communicating their "secret" agendas.

Country music fans who do not appreciate Underwood's support for HSUS should go to http://www.cbs.com/specials/acma/vote/ and vote for an entertainer who shares their values and supports America's hunting heritage.

Carrie Underwood supports the notorious HSUS

© By Othmar Vohringer

As a country music lover I always enjoyed listening to Carrie Underwood. I admired her for the success she has, starting as hopeful on American Idol and then becoming one of country music biggest stars. I also like her down to earth attitude.

Imagine how shocked I was when I found out this morning that Carrie Underwood, who had grown up in rural Oklahoma among hunters and farmers, has decided to support the notorious animal right activist organization, the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) with part of the revenue generated from her new release “Home Sweet Home”. Carrie states on her website that the money will be donated “To support a cause very dear to Carrie's heart, she, 19 Recordings, and Sony Music Nashville will donate a portion of the sales proceeds from ‘Home Sweet Home’ to The Humane Society of the United State”.

The U.S. Sportsmen’s Alliance writes in their “Action Alert” letter; “Sportsmen can make a difference. Companies such as Iams, General Mills, Accor Hotels, Pet Safe, Sears, Meijer Inc, and Ace Hardware ended relationships with HSUS after thousands of sportsmen levied strong protest.”

You bet we can and we will stop Carrie Underwood from kicking some of her most loyal fans and rural folks she grew up with in the teeth. Sometimes when people become famous they forget their roots and upbringing. From a cooment on her blog it appears that Carrie Underwood already got a taste of what can happen if a star upsets her loyal graas roots supporters. On a concert in a rural communiy, so it is said, more than half of her audience got up and left after Carrie anounced her support for the HSUS. The comment does not say if the people who left demanded their ticket money back. I hope they did.

Take Action! Sportsmen are urged to contact key personnel at American Idol’s parent company, Fox Broadcasting and demand that Underwood’s song not be given a stage to raise money for HSUS.

Please take a few minutes and write a comment on Carrie’s blog to let her know how you feel. Also contact the following people:

Mr. Peter Liguori
Fox Broadcasting Company
Chairman of Entertainment
10201 West Pico Boulevard
Los Angeles, CA 90064-2606
Fax: 310-369-1283
Phone: 310-369-3553

American Idol at: idol.web@fox.com. (The song will be used as farewell pice to contestants of American Idol.)

Feel free to copy this post and put it on your blog or link to the post herei. We have to make sure that as many hunters know about this and take action as we can reach and our blogs are a great way to reach millions of hunters. Thank You.

...not making a lot of friends Ms. Underwood:

http://blog.beefmagazine.com/beef_daily/20...lizzard-carri...
BEEF DAILY BLOG

spent yesterday helping my dad get ready for the big blizzard that hit last night. We moved some cow/calf pairs into another lot, fed hay, bedded the bulls and checked over the cattle to pick out the ones that could be close to calving. Getting prepared for a blizzard is always stressful, but we were lucky to miss the worst of it. However, with the winds blowing today, it was a near whiteout when I went outside to check on the cattle. When I got back in the house to prepare another issue of BEEF Daily, I found an article that chilled me more than the cold Dakota weather.

Many of you might remember my run-in with Carrie Underwood in 2006. Underwood is a member of the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), PETA’s 2006 Sexiest Vegetarian and guest show host on PBS kids to talk about vegetarianism. When Underwood sang at the National FFA Convention, thousands of FFA members walked out on her concert to speak out against Carrie’s ideals and stand up for animal agriculture. Without a doubt, Underwood’s rise to fame has been incredibly successful, but I just can’t get past her association with HSUS. Apparently, neither can she, and she is raising money for HSUS with American Idol.

According to CMT News, Carrie Underwood has recorded a version of Mötley Crüe’s “Home Sweet Home” for American Idol. Starting on Wednesday (March 11), the song will be played when contestants are voted off the show and will be available as a digital single on iTunes on March 16. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS). “I’ve always loved this song, and besides being very fitting for Idol, to me, the title is also very fitting with animal rescue and finding animals their own homes,” Underwood said. “So we felt it was important to tie the release into an amazing animal charity like the HSUS.” Underwood won American Idol in 2005.

What do you think about these celebrities endorsing organizations like HSUS and PETA? Which celebrity will stand up and endorse our industry? Who can we reach out to? Why do you think people buy into the lies these organizations are built on? What can we do to stop them? I’m sick and tired of livestock producers being unfairly targeted for society’s problems. How about you?

Carrie Underwood's pledge to Humane Society riles hunting groups
March 12, 2009 | 10:28 am

Fans of "American Idol" probably are aware that Carrie Underwood has recorded a rendition of Motley Crue's hit song, "Home Sweet Home." It's being used as a farewell theme each week for contestants leaving the show.

Also, the song is being released as a digital single and partial proceeds will benefit the Humane Society of the United States.

"I’ve always loved this song, and besides being very fitting for `Idol,' to me, the title is also very fitting with animal rescue and finding animals their own homes," Underwood said on her website.

Very well, but hunters across America, many of them country folks and fans of Underwood, might turn against her because hunters and the Humane Society are not on good terms.

"Carrie Underwood has decided to use her talents to benefit an organization dedicated to destroying the rights of thousands of her fans," Rick Story, vice president of the U.S. Sportsmen's Alliance, said in a news release. "HSUS does not operate or oversee animal shelters; it is a radical organization that seeks to end hunting and other responsible uses of animals in America."

U.S. Sportsmen's Alliance, a lobbying and hunters rights group, urges sportsmen to contact executives at "American Idol's" parent company, Fox Broadcasting, and "demand that Underwood's song not be given a stage to raise money for HSUS."

We'll have to wait and see if Underwood changes her tune.

I guess this answers the question...straight from the HSUS's mouth... "Carrie has designated The HSUS as her favorite charity"

http://www.hsus.org/humane_living/memorial...s/hsus-specia...

Carrie Underwood
Animals have always been a part of Carrie Underwood's life.

The winner of the 2005 "American Idol" television competition grew up on a farm in Oklahoma, around cows, dogs and cats.

As she started her career as a recording artist, her travels kept her away from the farm and the family pets.

But because animals are so important to her, she forged a relationship with The HSUS. Now Carrie's best friend is ACE, an adorable pooch who's small enough to travel with her.

On her website and in other avenues, Carrie has designated The HSUS as her favorite charity, and her support has included donations, as well as a public service announcement recorded in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, urging people to care about animals and to help The HSUS.

Carrie spoke about her love for animals when she was featured in our KIND News publication for elementary school children. Her message to more than a million kids was one of caring and respect for animals. She talked about her personal efforts to help stray animals: "There are so many strays around Oklahoma. I've taken in cats, had them spayed or neutered, and found homes for them."

Carrie recognizes that the stray problem is partly related to the spay/neuter issue. "A lot of people don't know how important it is to spay or neuter pets. That can cut down on the number of homeless pets." She also believes that the tragedy of so many stray pets is rooted in a lack of understanding about what it takes to make a lifetime commitment to an animal.

"Many people don't understand the responsibilities involved with getting a pet," she said. "They just see a cute puppy or kitten and get it. They don't realize that a pet is a commitment for as long as 10 or 20 years."

One HSUS program that's touched Carrie's heart is our Humane Society Veterinary Medical Association Field Services program (formerly Rural Area Veterinary Services, which provides free spay/neuter and wellness visits to Native Nations and a number of impoverished communities in the United States and Central America.

Carrie continues to earn accolades and awards, including three GRAMMYs, and awards from the Academy of Country Music and the Country Music Association. She's also had seven consecutive #1 singles, and sold more than 10 million albums.

A brainless drone fan actually responded.

Why do people care? I love Carrie Underwoods music, which is what it should be about...the music. It shouldn't be about her religion, her dating life, her looks, or which charities she wants to be a part of. I'm glad she stands up for what she feels strongly about. She can't do everything in life based on how her fans feel. If her causes change your mind about her music, then you're not really a music fan.

MY RESPONSE:

QUOTE
I will tell you why people care Neika. Ms. Underwood is an entertainer and she performs her music in a specific genre of the art which also relies heavily on the support of people in what is known in LA and NY as "fly-over country". the people from this area have different values and beliefs than those from the aforementioned large metropolitan areas, who quite frankly, are not where country music draws the majority of it's support. By supporting an organization such as HSUS Ms Underwood in directly in contradiction to the majority of persons in "fly-over land", and coincidentally, people who do not share the radical beliefs of HSUS and PETA support their radical causes by supporting Ms Underwood by purchasing her products and listening to her music.

HSUS and PETA kill far more dogs and cats than they save and by Ms Undewood donating money she received from "fans" in "Fly-over country", she is using money derived from that source to fund the drugs used to kill those animals. This is not even to mention the stances of HSUS and PETA on hunting, which if banned as they would like, would devestate the wildlife populations in our nation.

My sons (though only 8 and 11) enjoy Ms Underwood's music and both think she is pretty, thus they enjoy her videos as well. They were appalled that she would donate money to an organization such as HSUS that is so diametrically oppossed to the values they hold in regards to animals, the sanctity of life for dogs and cats, and the place where humans hunting wildlife falls into the natural balance of the eco-system. They care because they have values and believe in right and wrong. In our esteeem, HSUS and PETA are on a par with Hezbollah and other radical organizations in this world, and as young as they are, they care enough to make a stand.

You say, "I love Carrie Underwoods music, which is what it should be about...the music"...well that is where our value systems differ. It isn't all about entertainment. I'm sure John Wayne Gacy was "entertaining" when he dressed up as a clown and "entertained" at parties, but his other actions were appalling, such as killing boys and burying them under his house. HSUS kills more dogs and cats than they ever save, and to contribute money to an "entertainer" who supports that group is against the beliefs of most of us in "fly-over country" as much as most likely, your hiring John Wayne Gacy to entertain at your childs birthday party would be to you. You have to have the strength of your convictions for right to keep from standing for wrong.

Edmund Burke said, ""The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."

So you decide if someone you give your hard earned money to is worth it given their actions, or if you have no moral convictions and just want to be entertained.

I used to think Carrie was a cute, sweet, little Oklahoma girl. Now... I hope she is just ignorant to the facts about the charity she supports. Surely she wouldn't support such a radical organization that doesn't represent her home grown midwestern roots. I'm still holding out hope that she will come out and let us know she is still America's sweetheart.

It's too bad that such a talented and seemingly sweet young woman supports an organization like HSUS. The Humane Society presents itself as an organization that helps animals. There's not a day that goes by that I don't see a commercial full of sad, pathetic looking pets, a commercial that asks for help and donations, and seems to tell you that The Humane Society is all about caring for animals. If only the commercial showed the truth: Thousands of dead pets, the injections, the vacuum chambers, the death. Perhaps it would startle Ms. Underwood to see what a dog looks like after it has been euthanised in a vacuum chamber?

personally, i think all of you can seriously shut the hell up.....this site is meant for a fan based community and if all you're going to do is sit on your computer complaining about what Carrie Underwood does......then find something better to do, like facebook stalk...seriously... if your a fan..BE A FAN!

I am being a FAN. I greatly enjoy Ms. Underwood's music. But I hate to see a seemingly intelligent young woman snowed over by an organization like the HSUS. At the end of the day, these people are judged by what they present to the public. We don't see Ms. Underwood's private life, so what we support with our fandom is what she portrays publicly. Right now, she is portraying herself as an accomplice to animal murder.

"personally, i think all of you can seriously shut the hell up.....this site is meant for a fan based community and if all you're going to do is sit on your computer complaining about what Carrie Underwood does......then find something better to do, like facebook stalk...seriously... if your a fan..BE A FAN!"

I am a Carrie Underwood fan. My ten year old daughter thinks "All American Girl is our song, and my wife absolutely loves "Jesus, Take the Wheel". Our entire family loves Ms. Underwood, but sometimes people have to be held accountable for their actions. That includes what organizations they back financially. The HSUS may not be directly attacking America like Al Qaeda, but they are definitely attacking American values and our way of life. That makes them a domestic terrorist organization, at least in my book.
