Fallen Sheriffs deputy's wife sang temporary home as last song with her husband.

I don't really do the message board thing and I hope I don't screw this up or offend anybody by doing something wrong, but I feel there is a story that needs to be shared with the world. One week ago today (June 7, 2011) a friend, a brother in service and a brother in faith went to be with the lord. Deputy Kurt Wyman responded as an Oneida County Sheriff's Deputy to Knoxboro rd. in the small farm town of Augusta, NY for a reported domestic dispute. Upon arrival he was presented with a situation that still has many unrevealed details. A six hour standoff would ensue and Deputy Wyman would remain until the end. Deputy Wyman was a 24 year old firm believer in God. He had an 18 month old son and a 9 month pregnant wife. At somewhere around 2:00 am the six hour standoff ended up with a bullet fatally wounding deputy Wyman. Upon hearing this, deputy Wyman's wife would go into labor and give birth to there second child a daughter Adyson, mere hours after her fathers death. I know this sounds like a horrible story, and just writing it makes me shed a tear still, but Kurt's story needs to be told because he was a man of faith and a firm believer in Jesus. He is in heaven now and the good word of god has already been spread to thousands because of his death (God works all things into good somehow!). I write this on the Carrie Underwood website for one reason in particular. Last night (6/14/2011) we had the final service for Kurt at our church (Crosspoint church, Whitesboro, ny). The service was awesome, praising god and just hearing some very good memories of Kurts life, but at the end, Kurt's wife Lauren would stand to speak for the first time through this whole ordeal. She obviously thanked everyone for coming and spoke shortly of her faith, but what was really touching (and didn't leave a dry eye in the place), was that she stated this:

One of the last moments Kurt and her would share together was driving to church sunday before Kurts death. While driving to church one of the last songs they sang together in that car was TEMPORARY HOME-Carrie Underwood.

It's amazing how a simple song can touch someones life like that. I know that it may be foolish to post this here and hope that Carrie may read it someday, but if there is anyway that it can make it to her to read I know it would touch hers or anybody's heart along the way. Thanks for sharing inspiration through song,
God Bless,
Travis Bauer
