Dad in poor health travels with Picture of Carrie in his car.
So my dad a solid Christian man has been in poor health for years. He has made every attempt to improve his mobility so that he could attend Carrie's recent concert in Columbia SC. He loved it, saying, that little girl has been touched by the hand of God. So yesterday he calls informing me he is on his way to the college world series to watch the Clemson Tigers play. He let me know that the picture of carrie he keeps on the harth of his fireplace was smiling as usual. He said he spoke to Carrie and asked her to keep an eye on the place while he was gone to the world series but her smile said she wanted to go. So with a bold tone of laughter, he said Carrie was riding "shotgun" to the world series. Dad doesn't today nor has he ever cared much for the concept of celebrity, but he knows a Godly heart when he sees one and well, Ms. Underwood shines the light he knows to be of Christ. You know the kids song, "This Little Light of Mine" dad believes that is Carrie Underwood is that light. May God continue His Blessing on you and thanks for being the light that travels with dad today.
