Carrie Fan,TriSigma Sisters, and Animal Lovers HELP ME OUT!!!
Hey to all the lovely Carrie Fans! I'm a TriSigma girl just like Carrie and am also an animal rescue advocate. Could you all please help raise awareness in your communities in regards to animal rescue??!!???
Right now my volunteer rescue, the Greater Chicago Cavalier Rescue, is trying to raise funds for Scotty. Scotty is an 8-month old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel rescued from a Missouri puppy mill in March 2010. Scotty has a painful condition commonly known as bowed legs, as well as arthritis. Treatments to date and various pain medications have not provided relief from his daily pain. Orthopedic specialists at the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in Madison have recommended surgery to minimize his pain and improve his quality of life. The cost is estimated to be $3,000-4,000 per leg. Scotty is now approaching his first birthday and he’d like nothing more than to be a normal dog who can go for walks and chase balls.
Donations to GCCR will help pay for veterinary care for needy Cavaliers, such as Scotty. Greater Chicago Cavalier Rescue is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation. Its mission is to help ensure the health and security of abused, abandoned, and otherwise endangered Cavalier King Charles Spaniels by rehabilitating and placing Cavaliers from shelters and similar situations. GCCR also assists owners in finding new homes for their Cavaliers, and provides educational materials regarding Cavalier health and care through its website and local events.
