I heard an interview w/ Carrie on local radio,( KUPL) here in the Portland, Oregon area last week. Carrie mentioned a new album in the works, due out before the end of this year. I CAN'T wait!!! The last two have been absolutely fabulous, but I think there will be a much wider level of "creative freedom" on this third album as I believe that she is set free from the guidance of American Idol promoters. I also heard that Carrie wants to do an "All girls tour." I think that would be GREAT! Carrie, Kelly Pickler, Julianne Hough, Martina McBride, and Faith Hill...kickin' country fanny AND taken names! What about a remake of The Captain and Tennille's, "You Better Shop Around" with the gal pals? How fun could that be?! Look out shopping centers everywhere... for those of you who haven't heard of them, they were big in the mid 70's and "Shop Around" was a hit for them.... Google it. Anyway, I'm hoping for an estimated date for the new album. I still buy Carnival Ride and give it as gifts!
