but i doooooo like Carrie wether at peta or not, the thing is she luvs animals and is a veggie so why shouldn't she? i love animals, and im a member of peta too, so why cant she?
i think shes an amazing role model (and without even trying!) so rock on carrie

Here are the reasons I ADMIRE Carrie Underwood. I use the word admire since even though I like her music I have great admiration for her and here is why:

0 I am a great American Idol fan. But I view it as a platform for someone to get into the busness and do well. Only a few have done well after AI and Carrie better than all the rest.

0 I am a lover of c/w music. My favorite is Johnny Cash but I think Carrie has the right idea in that c/w music is more than good singing it is a history of people that went before you. Carrie realizes this. This is one reason she is a member of the Grand Ole Opry.

0 She seems to be a moral person. She has Randy Travis and Vince Gil and mentors. These are great guys whom she should listen to.

0 She seems to listen to her family and loves them. This is important.

0 My daughter is named Carrie -- just coincidental.

Can she improve? Yes. If it is true she is fearful of meeting individual fans then she needs to get over that. She is great with 10,000 but not so good with 1. That sends the wrong signal to her fans which I do not believe she wants to do.

Hmm...Well I think Carrie really is a true animal lover, and I am myself also. I don't especially like PETA or their view on things, but I think Carrie is still a great singer and if thats the worst thing about Carrie, then that doesn't make me even have to guess if I still like her; PETA member or no PETA member, Carrie is still great!

I think that it is her own personal choice to not eat meat. A lot of people don't including me. There is nothing wrong either way. I think she has the rights to do whatever she wants.....

I love her concerts they are always a good time but none are coming up and my dad just got me Nickelback tickets not bad but not my favorite band either.

you didn't climb the top of the food chain...you were born into it!! You are lucky to have the selection you have and not have something try to kill you so you can be eaten...

Darylns has a great point. If you farm vegetables or cows that is your choice.

If you do have a farm with animals you should treat the animals good.

It is also OK for her to have a kind heart towards animals but people in the industry have no reason to be offended by that. That just shows her gentle nature.

Hey Carrie if you are eating a lot of brocolli be careful about your Vitamin K intake if you have a predisposition for blood clots. Also, be careful about insectiside content etc.

Do you not think animal cruelty is a bad thing. From the impression you gave, it appears that you have no compassion for animals. I am from a farming family myself, though even as a very young child I knew some of the farming practices were not ethical and should be outlawed, for eg, muelsing. it doesnt really bother me personally... i mean she grew up on a farm... then fell in love with animals and doesnt think they should be eaten and all that jazz... lol i was a veg head for a little bit... then my bacon cravings got the best of me... but she was voted PETAs sexiest vegetarian... so thats a plus! haha and btw- when Carrie was on American Idol she said that everytime she fished she would always let the fish go after catching them.

You both have very good points, but It kind of makes me mad too! It made me mad because country singers USUALLY arent involved in PETA. Its fine thats she's a vegitarian or whatever but jeez you grew up on a farm and you fished and arent the PETA people against that?
