Carrie is the winner of American Idol so I am going to talk about the bonus track first.
I've never watched the American Idols and have no interests about it, so Inside Your Heaven is the first song that I heard from Carrie, and I only know her when she hit Mariah Carey's We Belong Together down from its 14 weeks #1 ride for one week.
I like commercial materials but Inside Your Heaven is far too ordinary and commercial for me. However, Carrie's vocal attracts me. I think she is professional and can sing and I like the song.
The opening track, Wasted, tells you that this is a country album, not a pop album that you usually expected from an American Idol winner like Kelly Clarkson's Thankful. The song is great and profound and Carrie sings well. But I think the song is a bit 'old' for Carrie as Carrie was very young.
Don't Forget To Remember Me is a lovely lovely song. In its music video, Carrie looks perfect. The song suits her age and it is quite country.
When I first heard of Some Hearts, I like it but not so into it. Nonetheless, after some time, it started growing on me. The lyric of it is so inspring and Carrie's vocal is comparable with some divas. It also triggers my emotion up.
Jesus, Take The Wheel is one of my personal favourite but I have nothing really special to say about it. As well as The Night Before(Life Goes On) and Lessons Learned.
Before He Cheats is one of my favourite song and I can perfectly related to it. Singing BHC makes me feel so powerful and strong, washed away the frustration and weakness of me. The music video is also one of my favourite.
Starts With Goodbye and I Just Can't Live A Lie are great songs.
The rest...they are good but maybe they are not so my cup of tea. Nevertheless, overall the album is excellent.
