I was one of the lucky ones to have been in attendance at last night's Carrie Underwood concert in Lubbock, and I have to say I was very impressed. I have been a fan of hers for quite sometime but after last night, I have gained so much more respect and love for her and her music. This was probably one of the best concerts I’ve been to in a while. I must say the fans were pretty excited when she finally came up on stage. I like how she kept the audience involved through her conversations with the audience. I definitely got my money's worth out of it. So in closing, I know Carrie may not read any of these postings, but who ever does, please tell her that Lubbock really enjoyed having her last night and we hope to see her again in the future. She really got the crowd roaring after she came back on stage wearing a Texas Tech jersey, that especially got my attention, since I am currently a Tech student. She looks good in Red and Black. The United Spirit Arena was built for special moments as these, and what better than to be the host of a special and beautiful girl such as Carrie Underwood. With the crowd that showed up last night, I hope she realizes that good ole isolated West Texas has a pretty good fan base of Carrie Underwood fans and a facility big enough to double the size of last nights concert : ) So don't forget us next time you are looking for cities to add to your tour. I have a hard time beieving that fans were leaving during her part of the show. I saw her recently in Lexington, KY. The concert was awesome. It was the best concert and best vocals I have ever heard. She received standing ovations on multiple occassions In fact, she really conected with the audience something that some others say she has been struggling with. I think that she grows as an artist with every performance. I was so taken back by this performance immediately the next day I searched for other tour dates that I could work into my schedule. I can not wait to see her again. Carrie is a gift for all of us to love.
We had 8 tickets for last night's show in Amarillo, my brother even came from the Austin show to go with us....Josh Turner was absolutely AWESOME, but Carrie Underwood's part of the concert was really bad. People were leaving after only a couple of songs and continued to leave throughout her performance! They had the music and vocals way too loud and it sounded horrible and distorted. I really wish we would have sold the tickets before we went in....Hope Lubbock is better....GOOD LUCK!!
