Sandy was originally named Sandy Dumbrowski in the original Boradway play. Sandy is totally American but because an Australian actress was cast for the movie role, they had to change the nationality of Sandy to fit the accent of Olivia Newton -John.

Also, I think that Sandy in the end may have ended up following the crowd but because Danny also changed because he really loved her, in the end, I believe the all American girl values will always win. Besides, being a remake, the ending can be rewritten to fit the actress who portrays it. Don't you think?

You need to remember though what Sandy did at the end of the movie Grease, she followed the crowd and ended up being (what was protrayed as..) one of the tough crowd. We wouldn't want our Carrie to end up doing that.

I truly hope Carrie keeps her good morals & values and doesn't follow the crowds that so many new stars fall into. That would very much disappoint me if she did. I've really liked her ever since American Idol, I've never kept up with any of the other idols as much as I do her. She's awesome person in every way.

Stay the same Carrie, please don't change & be especially careful who you associate with!!!!
