This was my first "country" music event/concert, and I guess you could say I was BAPTIZED big time. I have seen just about every type of music concert including everything from the Beach Boys, Kenny G, and Amy Grant, to Ratt, Iron Maiden, and very hard Punk/Hardcore. What I saw last night at the Stagecoach Festival ranks up there with the best I have ever seen. Carrie and her band were by far the best of the last day, second was probably Trace Adkins and everyone else a very distant third. I was only expecting her to stand and sing and for her performance to be very tame and nice. BUT WOW, I had no idea. Carrie and her band were amazing they worked so well together, and I will definitely say that with out the band I believe she would put on a good show, but on stage you can tell everyone is having a blast from the fiddle player (I hope thats the correct way to say it) sprinting from one edge of the stage to the other, to the backup singers who sing and dance with the energy of a headliner themselves, to the rest of the band WHO SHREDDED. To say the least I was very blown away, and because of what I saw last night there is no way they (Carrie and the BAND) should ever be anything but a HEADLINER. They played all of the favorites (you know) and added Paradise City, by Guns and Roses. WOOOOOOOW if you would have told me that Carrie was covering GnR I would have thought it was one of the slow songs and that it would be an okay cover. They nailed it, it was a genuine ROCK CONCERT. Carrie ripped every lyric like a pro, and to say the least I am still in shock from the show. GREAT JOB to Carrie and the Band, you were the best show I have seen in a very long time well worth the price of admission. This next statement might piss off Trace Adkins but I would love to see the both of them together again in my second country show ever, they should both get 1 1/2 - 2 hours each, BUT Carrie should be the headliner.
BTW they could add Taylor Swift to the lineup from what I understand she did an amazing job on Saturday, although I dont have first hand knowledge, as I was only there on Sunday.
