Looking for a song

My name is Crystal. My husband is 31 years old and was diagnosed in May 2008 with stage IV colon cancer. The cancer has spread to his liver and one lung. He has been going through chemotherapy since June 2008. I am a nurse and have a hard time dealing with his cancer. I always thought nurses weren't supposed to go through this, especially at a young age. My husband has no family history of colon cancer, so the doctors don't know why he has this cancer. I have a 14-year-old son, who is my husband's stepson. My son is also having a hard time dealing with this situation because his is like a best friend/son to my husband. They do so much together that my son doesn't get to do with his real dad. It has been said that patients with this type of cancer survive, on average, about 2 years after diagnosis, with treatment. He is not a candidate for surgery right now because he has too many tumors on his liver. I have a very large support group, but have a hard time dealing with his mother because she doesn't want me to take care of him...she wants to have control over how he is taken care of.

The reason I am writing this is that I have not heard many songs that stick out in my mind about cancer and I have not heard any songs that have a nurse in the family of the cancer patient. I know people make requests for songs all the time, but I thought I would ask for one. I chose Carrie to ask for the song from because I love her music and I can imagine her voice singing this kind of song. Especially after hearing "This is Just a Dream" when I purchased her newest album on the day it came out.

Thank you for your time. Carrie, if you are reading this, you rate right up next to Reba on my list of favorites. I believe you will have a long career in music and would like to see you act, too.

Oh My Gosh! That's really sad. One song I've heard was Rascal Flatt's song "Skin" it's really good if you need a song this one is the one for you. I hope everything goes as you hope from here on. I'll be praying for you, your family, and more importantly your husband.

Sorry to hear that Sad One song I don't know if you know it or not that is pretty good about cancer is "Skin" by Rascal Flatts. Its so sad and it brings tears to my eyes just about every time I hear it! Also Carrie and a bunch of other artists recently got together and recorded a song called "Just Stand Up" and it was to support cancer research and stuff.
