It's too bad that Carrie didn't even get voted into that list for "Female Video of the Year." There were 2 people who are for sure not even in the same league and never will be as Carrie: Taylor Swift and Kellie Pickler. Taylor can't sing that well but I guess the teenyboppers like her and Kellie Pickler is at best mediocre. I think Carrie's staying power is tremendous. But I've seen blogs that indicated the Swift and Pickler fans made sure that Carrie was blocked out of the voting. I don't know if that's true, but I don't think some of Country Music people will ever forgive the fact that she was discovered by and won Season 4 of American Idol. Winning that skyrocketed her to stardom. It wasn't her fault that she was so good and that America loved her. I think there's a whole lot of jealousy out there in the country music world. She's done some pretty remarkable things in her short career. Taylor and Kellie fans knew that if she was still in the running for female video of the year, she probably would have won.
Carrie is gorgeous, classy, confident, strong and knows who she is as a singer and performer. She's always on the Red Carpet because she is now a 'fashion icon,' and has been selected to People's 100 Most Beautiful People for the last 3 years. She transcends her music. I think the most important thing is that she seems to be a great role model for young women. I hope and pray that she is able to keep everything in its proper perspective.
