Underwood Will Have Performed 137 Live Shows By Year’s End !

NASHVILLE - (October 31, 2008) - Carrie Underwood’s “Carnival Ride Tour,” sponsored by vitaminwater®, has become a much-demanded concert ticket this year. Over 1,000,000 fans have come to see Underwood perform on the road so far in 2008. The current fall leg of shows included a sold-out show at the BOK Center in Tulsa in her home state of Oklahoma Wednesday night, a sold-out run of five shows in Canada earlier this month, and many other sell-outs across the U.S. By the end of 2008, Underwood will have performed 137 live concerts, in addition to her many other Opry and TV performances.

Underwood, who recently celebrated her ninth #1 single, will take a quick break from the “Carnival Ride Tour” to host the 42nd Annual CMA Awards with Brad Paisley. She was recently nominated in two CMA categories, Female Vocalist of The Year, a title she currently holds for 2006 & 2007, and Album of The Year for CARNIVAL RIDE. She will depart Nashville the day after the CMA’s to resume the tour in Bakersfield, California.

I can most definitely agree with everyone else that Carrie should be entertainer of the year, and she defenitely deserves every award that she gets. I have been to two of hers shows this year, one in Providence and one in Boston, and they were both amazing. I really hope that she continues to have success, and I hope that she comes back to Boston very soon.

I was thrilled to hear someone in show business stand up and say what all of us are really thinking. I am always insulted every time I hear a celebrity back a political candidate. They should know that we respect them as artists, but what they think about politics.....I could not care less!! Carrie is completely right, they look ignorant when they think we fans care who they support. You are a class-act Carrie. Thanks for saying it.

Hi Carrie,
I saw your show with my husband and daughter last night in Las Cruces, NM. We loved every minute of it! I was so impressed with not only your amazing talent, but your drive to put on an awesome show for all of us. You are a very giving performer. It's a rare combination to find a superstar so humble and focused on the fans. You tickled us at your intense focus on playing your guitar. I was so glad that we saw your show! We also loved Little Big Town. I didn't know them before last night and we became big fans!
Also, wanted to tell you not to worry about the boyfriend thing. I didn't meet my prince charming until I was almost thirty. That was seventeen years ago and he is still my prince. God will bring yours into your life when you least expect it. God Bless Carrie!

Howdy Carrie,

After reading these quotes:

“I lose all respect for celebrities when they back a candidate,” she said. “It’s saying that the American public isn’t smart enough to make their own decisions.”

I have become an instant fan. Keep up the great work!

I'll be listenin' to your music!

Cheers!

Vote for Carrie for the AMA's for country female artist and country album -
American Music Awards

I saw Carrie in concert twice this year and it's an experience not to be missed!!! The atmosphere is electric - Carrie's vocals are so pure and powerful she just sweeps you away
and she's so cute and down to earth - she just chats away , so adorable and unbelievably gorgeous besides - don't miss a chance to see the Carnival Ride Tour !!!!!

but change the snotty attitude and your hair on your forehead that I have seen on tv is horrible, be natural like you used to be, you are beautiful and a fantastic performer but other than that........

Carrie,
You are so amazing.Someday i want to be a country singer like you. You've
inspired some many people. And me.I've always wanted to be a country singer and you've shown people that it can happen. You are really my hero.

Thanks,

I really enjoy listening to Carrie Underwood and her songs. I do have one problem, having lost my husband 14 years ago I have never once asked myself:

Baby why'd you leave me
Why'd you have to go?
I was counting on forever, now I'll never know
Oh, now I'll never know
It's like I'm looking from a distance
Standing in the background
Everybody's saying, he's not coming home now
This can't be happening to me

I don't think what happened to me was anything as compared to what happened to him. This song just sounds a bit me, me, me.

I am writing on behalf of my 6 yr old niece....she is one of your biggest fans and has been since she was about 3 yrs. old. She has had an unbelievable attraction to you since she could walk. She loves you with all her heart and has a big poster of you in her bedroom. Her name is Alli and she will be at your Dec 5th concert in St Louis in the 4th or 5th row. If you could just say "Hi" to her, it would make a little girl's dream come true. I've never seen a child at such a young age have such a huge attraction to a celebrity, but when you are on TV she screams, "Carrie is on, Carrie is on" and jumps up and down and gets as close to the TV as she can....she is adorable!

I don't know who actually reads these entries, but if you could just let Carrie see this one I would be so grateful!
If anyone knows another way to get a message to Carrie, please let me know.
