Coming from a military wife whose husband is currently stationed in IRAQ, I do change the channel every time I hear this horrid song. Carrie hasn't got a clue... my man is coming home. Her lyrics are crap anyway. She repeats 'just a dream' way too many times. It makes me completely angry and I can't hit the radio dial fast enough. There's no sense of pride for her husband, just her whining through the whole song.

Taylor Swift to play in London - Why not Carrie?!!!!!!!
Hi,
I notice Taylor Swift is soon to play a gig in London - just makes me question why can't Carrie also be promoted/play at least a gig over here?
This is not a diss of Taylor Swift,though her music does nothing for me what I've heard of it but please someone pull there finger out & organise something for Carrie over here - would love to see Carrie pleeease!

i love the carrie underwood song "just a dream", but i also want to say something else not all hip-hop, pop, and rap music is about drive byes and getting some booty, there are songs of people trying hard to make a dollar. i think that this comment was so stereotypical its like me saying that country music is so depressing and boring and so red neck, but its really not, so i think before you make comments like that you should think twice and not be so quick to judge maybe thats the only rap and hip-hop music you have ever listened to was the drive by ones and the getting booty kind, but really look out there, there are good rap and pop and hip-hop music out there. all you got to do is have an opened mind. look at me i'm a polynesian girl who loves country music and some people say that i'm weird and i could care less so before you make comments like that think about it first. and i love carrie underwood she freakin awesome. aight then PEACE!!!

As a widow of a soldier, killed on his last tour of duty before retirement, I have to say Carrie got Just a Dream just right! I was very proud of him and how he had served his country all those years, but this song is not about that. It is about how I felt. I was convinced I would wake up from just a vivid nightmare. Sometimes, I am still absolutely sure he will be walking in the door at any moment. It is not whining to feel the loss.
I congratulate Carrie on this song, in particular. She lets everyone know that it is okay to feel the loss of a loved one, to question why and to wonder if she can wake up out of this living nightmare.

they are not alone and others are feeling their pain also, if you don't like this song, then you should not listen to country music anymore, because most country music is often very sad and tells a story, not like, crappy hip-hop, pop, and rap, which are almost always about shooting someone in a drive by, or getting some booty for the night...Thanks for sharing it.

To all people on Carrie's site who have made very negative comments on the song "Just a Dream" need to look in the mirror and take a good, long, look at themselves, because your all blooming IDIOTS!!!
First of all, I read a recent post on this site that said she does not know what it is like to loose a loved one in war-time, well she does, she has had family in the military longer then she has been alive and some did not come home!!
How dare you people judge her!!!!! For making a beautiful song like "Just a Dream" do you not know that this song has healing qualities to it??? Thats right, there are a lot of people who have lost loved ones over in Iraq and Afganistan and this song helps keep their memory alive and at the same time the song is very compassionate by nature, it lets the Listener know
