Hi all. I'm new and I just want to say hi. I had a funny thought, and I hope it doesn't offend anybody, but I got to thinking: Carrie proves that God has spare time to be a vocal coach! LOL I think she's one of the best singers on this planet. She is in that elite, top, 3 or 4 of the finest out there. Her natural voice has as much tone as a Grand piano. Then there is her enormous control over it. She is a classic singer, and when she kicks that vibrato in, toward the end of a held out note......she really moves me. (I could go on. LOL)
One regret that I have, is her season of American Idol, I just kind of blew it off, and I didn't get any recordings from it. I tuned in to the last show, saw her and thought oh no! What have I been missing! Also, she was fantastic then, and not resting on her laurels, she just gets better, and better.......
Anyway, I'm seeing her at Chicago's Ravinia, on Mon the 31st, and I just can't wait.
They're currently reshowing American Idol Rewind on Fox. Where I live it comes on at 5:00pm Saturdays and 3:00pm Sundays. Also you can see just about every performance she did on YouTube. Welcome aboard.
