Carrie that was a nice induction ceremony. I was very proud of you. You were a dollbaby as usual. Your performances were right on par too. For those who didn't make it let me tell you a litle about it. There were several musicians there: Jimmy Dickens, Jeannie Seely, The Whites, Jimmy C Newman, Jim Ed Brown, Dierks Bentley, Marty Stuart, George Hamilton IV / V, Connie Smith, Aaron Tippin, Vince Gill, Del McCoury Band, Carrie Underwood, The Opry Square Dancers, Bill Anderson, Jean Shepard, and Mel Tillis.
This included the 6:30pm show that lasted up until 9:00pm. Then the 9:30pm show
that went on past 12:00 until about 12:30. Most of the headliners returned for the second show and Carrie made another appearance with her trophy for that show also.
It was a very good night for country music. The musicians really enjoyed themselves and did a great job entertaining the audience. It was a mix of Old Country, New Country, Country Gospel, Gospel Quartet, and Blugrass Music.
My biggest regret was that Garth Brooks bestowed the honors (because I was hoping to escort Carrie Myself and speak her praises, lol. ) and the lovesick drive back home. However, it really was a solid night of entertainement and joy for many fans, couples, and families. I also noticed there was a Dinosaur World, Corvette Museum, and Go Cart Tracks so I will take the kids sometime too. There is plenty of Dining and Lodging nearby to accomodate.
As usual, Carrie's performance of Dont Forget To Remember Me left her (and me) with wet eyes and stirred me inside.
Great Job Babydoll and thank you to everyone who performed that night.
Carrie you joined a big family made up of some of the finest people in the world.
I know you were truly honored.
Love,
Bryan
